Come on Erik. We are all upset and frustrated with the direction of the program, but I don’t think we need call players jokers etc. If they are wearing an ISU uniform it is on the coaching staff, kids are just taking advanced of an opportunity given to them.

This is such a reoccurring theme...be in the game until the last couple minutes. Then don't execute. Is this coaching? Players not knowing how to close and win? (They've been annihilated on the boards.) Whatever it is...it's happening over and over and over again. Just can't seem to make the big plays to win the games. Liked the effort though. But that's not acceptable to be content with just that for this program. Bummer. Kids need a win.

It’s 1000% coaching. When it comes to critical stretches, or drawing up a great play for an easy bucket to stop a run, or just coaching your players to be in the right spot, Prohm just falls flat every time.

These guys are mid major at best players, same with this coaching staff, clean house at the end of the year. Our fan base deserves way better than this **** show.

I empathize with the frustration, but Bolton could be in most team's rotation at the very least. Walker is our best freshman despite getting the least amount of attention recruiting wise. I want Solo to at least finish strong, but you got to get a rebound or two at least kid.

Three other teams have gone winless in the Big 12. Baylor in 1998-99 (0-16), Texas A&M in 2002-03 (0-16) and TCU in 2013-14 (0-18).

Iowa State will be next in 2020-2021. Congrats on another record setter, Steve Prohm!

I'm pretty sure all 3 coaches were fired after their winless Big 12 season, so hopefully that trend continues.

Edit: Nevermind, Trent Johnson survived. If you want to call what happened the next year surviving that is.

To those saying this is a mid-major roster - I think this could be a .500 team with coaching that taught rebounding, defense and toughness. It’s true that a roster takes on the personality of its leader. Huggins and Beard are tough, intense mothertruckers. Self and Drew are intense and demanding. Steve Prohm licks his lips and has his thumb up his arse and lets the same sh!t happen over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. One wonders how one reaches the highest levels of coaching without such an essential trait.

Agree that is fairly mild, but we will have to agree to disagree on whether it is needed. I do agree that some players don’t belong at this level, but I rather focus the blame on the coaching staff for that.

That wasn't a defensive substitution, Jenkins came in ffs. He didn't want Bolton to foul out and didn't think far enough ahead on how to get him back into the game without timeouts.

No they didn’t. They did everything to try and let ISU tie it. Steve said **** that ****. I’m putting my best player on the bench.

It’s a fine strategy until you don’t have any timeouts anymore. Then the proper strategy is to have your best players on the floor in the event of a turnover. If you don’t....well you get what happened in the last 12 seconds.
