I think that Smith and Simmons are similar enough that I’d need a crystal ball to see which one ends up lining up where. Ben Bruns said last weekend that Simmons has a “center body”—which would apply to both of them.
Same with Zach Ross, if he manages to get and stay fully healthy. Or, they could stick Pauls at center just to get the best five on the field.

Kid looks really athletic to me. We’ll see how he handles putting on forty or fifty pounds of muscle, but “really athletic” is a good starting point.
And I don’t think we’ll be counting on him to start as a RS freshman. He’ll have a shot, but he won’t be penciled in as the starter. Isn’t that a refreshing change?

Very interested to see what he looks like. Guessing he's probably over 280 assuming the 260 was from early in the fall or sometime during summer.
From his senior film, the answer is either “no” or “he carried the weight extremely well”.
That said, recruits from the last class who played at about that weight in HS managed to report in the summer at around 280.
