Skylar was on most national QB watch lists and had already won national awards for his play v. OU. Yes, it's replacing a quality senior quarterback and captain with a true freshman. He's the biggest single loss this team could have had. Brutal.

K-State has KU and Baylor after their upcoming bye week. I won't be writing them off yet. Plenty of time to forge a new offense

1)They force turnovers 2) Defense is very strong 3) Strong run game 4) Don't make mistakes (like ISU can)

Not sure who that would be but K-State's receiving corps has been something less than average this year. Frankly, it's the worst unit on the team.

True, but losing any experience at WR for a fresh young backup QB hurts a lot. Purdy thrived when he came in with all of his options.
