It was a kick in the nuts... the offense was soooo bad.

I don't know why we go into these first games thinking we can just run over the opposing defense and impose our will when we haven't done that ever. Not against UNI, not against KU. How you plan to be that conservative after a whole offseason of planning? Does not make sense to me.

I wish we had Spears at Linebacker. If he could make Lanning look good, we could really use him now.

Maybe it was just me, but our guys just seemed to be going through the motions. No emotion. Just show up.

I hope I'm wrong but that is how I saw it. No matter how much the coaches tell you this is going to be a tough opponent, it just seems like we can never get up for these smaller schools at our first game. Yes it's disappointing but we still have a good team I think.

I saw no emotion on offense. I told that to my wife and daughter before I said I've seen enough, I've got stuff to do around the house.

No fans definitely did not help. No excuse for lack of effort, but definitely did not help. At all.
