Official ISU/Wisc-Milwaukee Game Thread

So, we haven't played on the road yet, but how many of us were certain we would be 3-0 to start the season...even with the games in Hilton against suspect teams? This schedule is not overly tough, but just what the doctor ordered to get this team going and confidence building. I like that fact that our new-found 3-ball game isn't one player specific. And this team, actually seems to play like a team.

I see that our next opponent, Hawaii, dropped their opener to San Francisco, so we should have a shot at winning a road game.

P.S. San Francisco is coached by Rex Walters! Remember him?

I was thinking the same thing about his rebounding, so I started focusing on watching him rebound. He was actually giving good effort, and boxing out fairly well. Just seemed like the ball wasn't bouncing his way.

You're probably right - I'm just used to Jiri and Rahshon's numbers. It seemed like the ball was magnetically attracted to Rahshon, in particular. The rebounds were much more spread around the team - with a majority going to (I think?) the shortest guy on the team!

That speaks allot to the big boxing their guys well actually. Garrett was able to sneak in to grab some boards too.

AT was all over the boards today. We did a pretty good job I thought of preventing points in the paint.

I think this is the most upbeat that I have seen this board in almost a year. So this is what winning feels like....

If you've read the whole thread, it's because we've all been sniffing glue.

It does feel good to win, but this team will be up and down...mostly down in the Big 12, I'm afraid. They are fun to watch, though.

I didn't get a chance to comment after last night's game, but this is was much, much better. I thought UWM had a decent chance to win this game, but our offense functioned like it should.

Of course, a school record for 3s helped an awful lot.

I really hope DG continues to work on his shooting so we can move him over to SG next year. Hopefully with Colvin committing to us on Wednesday, we can have him and Buckley play the point.

The only thing we're missing is an in between forward/guard player like Rahshon or he who must not be named. It'd be nice to have a guy who could make contested shots. Maybe there's a player around in Ames that could fill this role.

Speaking of - we're running the table this year.

It's our time to win the whole ******* thing.

And we won't even need one of them cardboard life-sized chics that you can strip a piece of clothing from after each win.

<shaking a bag of marbles />

or, is it mah-bles?

what this team seems to have is great chemistry on the floor and they really have fun with it.

Tons of weapons outside with Lucca, Petey, Eik, JVB, Haluska, and occassionally DG.... when was the last time we had 5-6 guys who were legit threats from outside?

....Craig is lookin quite improved as well

Great job Clones!! Great start. Lets get one in Hawaii! This win will be a great way to start the week!

anyone else concerned about poor free throw shooting?

we are just 20 of 34 (58.8%) through these first 3 games

So how long will it take for people to start calling for Macs job when he does win every game? I love to win, but i dont want to see people get too high too soon, itll lead to a big crash.
