Official ISU vs Missouri Game Thread

Did not make it down to the game tonight. What was the attendance? It's been very impressive how many fans we've had at most of our games when you take in account the record.:notworthy:

In this game I thought that was a good idea. Knew Mizzou was going to score a lot and trading 3 points for 7 was not going to cut it. Might as well go for it on 4th down.

I was talking about other teams going for it against us...

I was happy to see us go for it, just not so happy with the results...

Anyone else think a fullback would have been nice to have tonight when we were 1st and goal from the 2 yard line and ended up throwing a pick?

Seems like I have to ponder the whereabouts of our fullback after every game.

Would have been nice to have forced a punt, too, I guess.

I made several comments to friends wishing we had Kock to put in the hole

I was trying to figure out how we had an illegal substitution when we hadn't had an actual huddle on the field and hadn't lined up for the play.

I don't know all the rules regarding this, but I'd like to know what we did wrong there.

I think the refs need to take a physics class so they can realize that 250 people running at full speed will not stop immediatley. Not even just with us I'm tired of seeing it everywhere.

The refs stopped the game and play clock because AA went down to the turf. The player must leave the game for at least one play after that, unless we burn a TO I think. We sent in the play for the direct snap to A-Rob which was a great idea. What I can't fathom is why the heck they trotter AA back out there on the wing. Unfortunately all I can figure out is that McFarland didn't know the rule. There is no other reason why he'd be out there.

Well, yeah, I know the rule about having to take a player out for at least one play if he has an injury that causes a stoppage of play. I just didn't see AA come back onto the field, as I was watching to see who we were going to snap it to.

I'm sure McFarland knows the rule, but I doubt that he thought to communicate it down to the sideline. Certainly a head scratcher as to why AA would come back out onto the field.
