Well, yeah, I know the rule about having to take a player out for at least one play if he has an injury that causes a stoppage of play. I just didn't see AA come back onto the field, as I was watching to see who we were going to snap it to.
I'm sure McFarland knows the rule, but I doubt that he thought to communicate it down to the sideline. Certainly a head scratcher as to why AA would come back out onto the field.
True. He called the right play, which normally has AA as a receiver, but somebody didn't take him out. Whoever is in charge of substitutions dropped the ball.
