i can see this labeled as Covid related still. Unless there is a very clear cause of the fall Covid could have contributed to balance issues, weakness, unknown stroke that lead to fall, etc. I would definitely list it as at least contributing.
It would still get listed as a contributing factor most likely. Unless the die from a car wreck or something. If the die of a heart attack and had influenza, even minimally symptomatic, it gets listed as a contriving cause. What’s to say the stress from the influenza virus didn’t contribute to the heart attack for example. What most people get is that unless there is an autopsy, cause of death is often a crap shoot and is often a list of a few connected conditions culminating in an ultimate cause that is the best educated guess based on any symptoms, known history, and test results. And then contributing factors are also listed. Covid could be in either of these places just like flu and make the death report. It’s nothing nefarious or conspiracy based. No one pressures me to put Covid, not Covid, or anything else on a death certificate.
