What is the longest relationship you've had with someone outside of your family? Best friend, romantic partner, whatever? I always think it's interesting to see if people have moved around a lot/changed their lives frequently, or if they are more into stability.

Janny and I have been together for almost 17 years. That is an insane thing to write down.

This would not give me confidence if my wife wrote this.

That's fair. Do keep in mind that I am wildly fluent in sarcasm, however - if that helps. ;) (Also, quarantine is a *****.)

Friends from high school, so probably 34 years? Romantically, my wife (14 years)

My two best friends are from high school and middle school (we moved a lot when I was in grade school). It's humbling to think I've known them as long as I have.

Have a group of friends from when I lived in Wisconsin that have been around for about 17 years or so. We all get together 1-2 times a year. My wife and I have have been together for 21 years. Next year Ill have known her longer than I didnt know her. Crazy.

have a couple friends since my senior year (I changed schools that year), so 30 years for them. Been married 22 years. Getting close to half my life.

I've known one of my best friends for over 30 years. I'm 34 and he's 33, and I pushed him into a pool when he could barely walk.

We aren't family, but have family in common (my uncle is married to his aunt, so we have some cousins in common).

I've managed to maintain a friendship with a friend I met in second grade so that's about 44 years. Crap. That's a long time. I hate him because his hair is still brown and he still has all his hair.

Yeah, I know what you mean, my barber complains about cutting my hair, it is too thick he always says.

My barber doesn't seem to say that. Although my latest barber (also my wife) complains about how thick my hair is on the sides and how little there is on top.

My randomly assigned college roommate has been my best friend for 23 years. I think that’s fairly unusual. We’ve taken countless trips together over the years including 5 trips to Europe. We could never live together again, but we did survive 3 years of living in the dorms ;)
