he doesnt. the list i posted is who i want.

here's who JP wanted and interviewed in 2015

Bryce Drew 40-59 at Vandy... ran them into the ground.
Brad Underwood 55-56 at OSU and Illinois.
LeVelle Moton 186-123 in the MEAC. theres a reason hes still at NCC
T.J. Otzelberger, - we know his story. good at sdsu. tbd at unlv

Jamie knows who to interview for fb coaches, i give him that but he sucks at finding bball coaches. some of the better names floated for isu over the years have all came from the big $ donors who had connections to them
And they worked us when we had Monte, Naz, Matt, and Deonte :(

How real is the push for change by the donors going to be? Without that, i can't imagine much changing.

Who is a realistic option for ISU to hire if they fire CSP?

Give me a break. We are a B12 program with good facilities, great fan support, some decent tradition, and can pay a couple million per. Just a few years ago we proved you could build a perennial top 25 program here. Don't act like we would be lucky to find a coach who could reliably beat a MEAC school in Hilton. If we could pull a guy like CMC for our historical graveyard of a football program, we can get someone better than Prohm for hoops.

Right before blowing a realistic shot at winning the regular season title after winning big at KState. He proceeded to finish the season 1-5 including a 15 point loss at the 10th place team in the conference. On top of that, he lost complete control of his team during that span. There were fights at practice and mid game. This is what happens when you don’t COACH.

In team fights aren't that rare I'd imagine.

I actually liked the fighting. Wish it would have happened earlier. Clear the air and start ironing things out. Some leadership started taking hold after. If THT was getting reemed by MJ mid-game he likely needed it.

Yeah, ISU fans give the B12 tourney far more credit than it deserves. Our fans love to go get drunk in the P&L for a few days, so if the team can give them that every couple years they are happy. Regular season finish and NCAA performance is much more important in the big picture, and Prohm hasn't gotten it done there.

I think that's a bit unfair, and I lost sleep over the loss last night and for the first time I am being openly critical of Prohm on here.

Honestly, the Ohio State loss last season in the NCAA tournament didn't bother me too much at the time. I mean, I was disappointed, and it's a game that we should have won, but as I mentioned in a different thread a couple of weeks ago, I can think of at least a handful of NCAA tournament losses that I was more disappointed by, and most of those didn't happen with Prohm in charge.

Last night is devastating, I'll grant you that.

A first round NCAA tourney loss isn't that big of a deal. The issue was it looked the season as a whole in 40 minutes. I had zero confidence in them keeping that late lead.

I like how THT and Jacobson were hanging out together off the court a short time later. Must have been a pretty serious "fight" they had.

I'd think attendance and less time on the main ESPN outlets etc. will be big influences too.

The Kansas game next week has to be bare stands one would think. We'll see. If they are filled, than I have my doubts. Fans love ISU, even through that horrible patches.

We've seen Hilton vacate before. When we don't win, the fans don't come.

At least one KU game in the McD years had a whole ton of KU fans. It was special hearing their cultish chant at the end of that win.

there are people with their names on buidings at isu that are pretty fed up with prohm

yeah they aint T Boone pickens with their money but if jamie wants to build his dream hotel/applebees or whatever in the parking lot of hilton then he needs to keep those big money (relative to isu) donors happy

So basically the Sukups? Maybe there are others but actual big donors that are also involved in athletics seems to be limited to them.
I know there are a bunch of people that put up good donations toward the operating budget, but when you look at the budget and TV deals, tickets, merch, and probably lots from the small donations I don't think any other donors on their own impact the operating budget much at all.

Likely just emotions rising up, although also close bonds can often occur after going through some real ****.

Honestly don’t know. Haven’t put any thought into it.

But that’s a valid excuse to keep him? Lol we should just accept mediocrity? Steve is dragging this program down and needs to go.

Our veteran big guys are regressing when they need to be counted on.

Young/Jacobson in 38 min:
6 points, 3-7 fg, 0-0 fts, 4 rebounds, 0 stl, 0 blocks

Conditt's 21 minutes off the bench in comparison:
12 points, 4-8 fg, 4-7 fts, 6 rebounds, 2 stl, 1 block
To be fair Jacobson isn’t actually a big anymore.. he’s a crafty stretch 4 that pulls the defense out..
