Kansas men's basketball charged with multiple Level 1 allegations, including lack of institutional c

Congrats on your Big 12 tourney titles.

I'm just trying to get some clarity if a KU loss will still be on the books.

Maybe upgrade ISU's recent 50% win percentage against KU to 90% or give us a 1+ for each win to denote ISU has been holding its own in spite of stacked odds facing cheaters.

Kansas basketball is bigger than Bill Self. They will properly stick up for him as they should for any employee facing allegations, provide him with the support he needs to defend himself and then reevaluate when the situation changes.

Kansas isnt going to lose their minds strictly to appease the Cancel Culture that exists today.
In other words.......Kansas was cheating long before Bill Self got there.

this will just drag out until so long that everyone will forget about it and it just ends up being a slap on the wrist

Yeah, look at Baylor. They're doing just fine and weren't a pet program of any kind the way KU basketball has always been.

They talked on 810 this morning that the penalties for major violations is 1-5 years post season ban per violation. For the penalty for coach it is a minimum 1 year suspension. Not that I think KU will get hit with these but this is what is in the rules that any non blue blue school would be facing.

And if it comes to that, so be it. We survive dosing HoF coach Roy Williams and actually got better. We will survive and thrive post-Self as well.

Who do you feel was your last coach that didn't benefit from recruiting violations as accused? Bringing in a new coach under these circumstances is very different than when Williams and Self started. If the new coach can't buy recruits, will they be immediately successful as the previous coaches were?

Who cares. That's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about the the ncaa looking to nail Self to the cross as a trophy of their competence in policing the sport, which is a huge joke.

Vacating titles/wins is a meaningless maneuver. They still happened. Pretending they didnt is a childish, toothless punishment.

Do you really think the ncaa is looking to hammer Kansas because they have let other programs get away with violations?

wow

As I have stated, Nike is simply better at it, with higher caliber professionals and more sophisticated procedures. They are masters at it while Adidas and Under Armour are decades behind.

We're only in this spot because some chuckleheaded wanna be started ripping off his clients to bankroll some D level movies and got on the FBI's radar. That's the caliber of criminal associated with the Adidas machine.

so you’re ok with blatant cheating and corruption?

TuCo always finds a way to make KU the victim. He doesn't deny cheating, doesn't condone it, just upset they got caught. The sad thing is, he isn't some wacko, conspiracy nutjob on the internet, he's the average KU fan. The temper tantrums that fan base throws if the NCAA actually holds them accountable will be epic.

I have ZERO problem with Bill Self being punished at a scale equal that of previous cases. I have concerns that the ncaa has bigger plans.

yep. I mean it was the very first time he ever paid a player. And he was only forced to offer cash, against his will I might mention, because other schools were doing it too.

All those high level recruits were so honorable they turned down suitcases full of cash, because they saw the virtue of bill self and would play for him for just scholarship level money.

Jesus can you even approach seeing how dumb you sound?

Anyone can get survive and get better if you're not playing by the rules.
If the ncaa is going to identify shoe companies as boosters then no one is playing by the rules given that every single program with an apparel contract is landing guys from AAU programs sponsored by their apparel company.

You fill a post with dramatic sarcastic overreactions and ask me if I understand how dumb my post is stating that I hope any punishment matches established precedent. Curious tactic.

HOLY CRAP. This is an epic miss by you. Keep trying you might get it someday.

KU isnt a victim in this. I just see how the ncaa has bungled pretty much everything they touch and am leery as to their intentions. Giving DeSousa a 2 year ban made it clear that they are mad that teams are getting around them and are looking to drop the hammer.

Step back away from the "KU must be destroyed" mantra and look at their handling of anything they touch. The ncaa is a joke and they are trying to fight back.

yeah I was mocking you for your butt hurt over getting caught.

again I’ll ask, do you comprehend how dumb you sound trying to victimize

What's a miss? The ncaa is actively attempting this tactic in their efforts to fit punishment of school's involvement with shoe companies into their existing process. It is their best shot at their futile goal of removing shoe company influencing. Have you not been reading the details of what's going on?

When did I gripe about getting caught? You made that part up. Either that or you are ASSuming that I am leery about the NCAA's intentions because I am "butt hurt" (whatever that means) about KU getting caught, which is an incorrect assumption.

As soon as the word "Kansas" was uttered during the FBI investigation, this ncaa action became an inevitability.
