Oh, it's big. The NCAA is determined to look like they have a hold on this. It's going to be an interesting season, that's for sure.
I don't envy our AD right now. He's got a Lose-Lose decision to make in his near future.
The "everyone else does it" argument is tired. I am sure the NCAA would love any evidence that you have against Nike schools.
Maybe they were just not stupid enough, or in ku's case, bold enough to get caught.
Kansas must be Destroyed! Given the circumstances, couldn't wait for us to play them in basketball to say this. NCAA gets first crack at them this year.

Vacating titles/wins is a meaningless maneuver. They still happened. Pretending they didnt is a childish, toothless punishment.
You really think that ku offered 50k or what ever it was to try to get Zion, (which was in the FBI investigation), but he went to Duke for free?

As I have stated, Nike is simply better at it, with higher caliber professionals and more sophisticated procedures. They are masters at it while Adidas and Under Armour are decades behind.
We're only in this spot because some chuckleheaded wanna be started ripping off his clients to bankroll some D level movies and got on the FBI's radar. That's the caliber of criminal associated with the Adidas machine.

You make it sound like catching Self breaking rules or running a dirty ship was a witch hunt. Self built and crawled up to the cross and did everything but nail himself there. No different than Pitino, Pearl, Sampson, etc.
Didn't take long for the victim card to get played.

It's amazing how he was able to withstand the coercion tactics of those monsters at Adidas for this long.
Uhhhh they happened cause Kansas cheated their smarty pants. They paid to have a greater advantage which is against NCAA rules last time checked.

I believe it was lack of institutional control in 2006 which basically resulted in a slap on the wrist. If the Feds weren’t involved to some degree the NCAA would’ve worked out a “self reporting” solution with KU by now.
