I'd call them. You know then that your email isn't going to just sit in another person's inbox. Calling allows you to talk to a real human being (maybe).

Called. Didn't get her on the phone.
So I've done both now and sent an e-mail.
Just got the "out of office on PTO" notification. Maybe it's time to call the 2nd person.

No answer. Called my future supervisor, and we'll rattle cages on Monday.
Also, a box of books on the way!

In other news:
1. I won a game of Candy Land without tears or breakdowns today.
2. McDonald's might as well know our names now.
3. Z very much wanted to do her own school supply labels, so we're rolling.
One would think after all of these years you would be able to win simply on the merits of your play rather than having to resort to those tactics.

Not exactly sure.

I think I’ve lost 98% of pickup BB games to my kids. Would keep it close so they thought I tried. My wins were usually 20’+ shots that I would try to brick but accidentally drain.

Taco Time?
Yup - we bought one of their Smart Cars to pull behind the RV. That way we can park somewhere and putz around the surrounding area on day trips. :) We also plan to drive to games in it once it has the new wrap on it. Silly little thing can fit almost anywhere!

I just got a robo call on my cell that was in what I assume is Chinese.
Lew's number is just 11 #s past mine (mine ends in 11, his in 22). Never fails - when I get a bot call and block it, he gets a bot call from the same number about two minutes later.
I CAN tell you that the Chinese bot calls are using the Mandarin dialect. A friend of mine bought a Roombot knockoff online, and it speaks Mandarin and can interact with the bot calls. It's hilarious. She can change the settings to English on the vacuum, but chooses not to.

I don't see a tailpipe. This isn't an electric one, I hope.

The reason I say that is the electric SmartCar can't be towed, it has to be trailered. I'm sure Papa Lew is all over that though.

There's an

When we were researching tow-bar vs trailer for smart cars, we found one guy who had a longer RV than ours that basically hollowed out the back bedroom, put a large door and a pull out ramp in the side at the back, and just drives his car INTO the RV and carries it that way!

Interesting. This article says it is pretty much the ideal tow vehicle (sans trailer).

Lew did the research and I don't remember the specifics, but the net result was that the cons outweighed the pros for him and he decided to go with the small trailer. One thing I remember from his research was that it was okay to flat tow it, but for no more than 30 miles at no more than 30mph. Yeah, the manufacturers always err on the side of caution, but that's a large margin of error to get past. Bonus - we can fit two kayaks on the trailer with the car. :D

And in retrospect, I shouldn't have said "can't be towed". I should have said towing is not recommended by the manufacturer.

Sounds like a smart decision. (pun not intended)
