*** Official SELECTION SUNDAY Thread ***

The good thing about being a four or five seed is we probably have a more winnable game in the second outing and a longer break between games to prepare for the one seed. As a six seed it is a short turn around to meet a one seed. Irregardless where and when, the clones need to beat the team in front of them. It's always "win or go home".

As a 6 they couldn’t play a 1 seed until the elite 8.

Isn’t only way we face Oregon is if we are a 6 seed? Oregon can’t be a 12 seed can they? I thought 12-13 seeds are for mid major champs or mid major tourney champs?

No. As far as I know, teams are not specifically slotted for certain seeds based on their conference affiliation or being a "mid-major". Sometimes Power 5 teams are a #12 seed; ironically enough Oregon was a rather controversial 12 seed a few years ago.

I wouldn't be too surprised if either Oklahoma or TCU are a #12 seed later on today, actually.

Really hope we slide up to that 4 seed....it will be close. Any team but Oregon..they just destroyed Washington...Altman is a great coach too..

Just started reading this thread, so I don’t know if it’s been posted yet but I just have a gut feeling we’re drawing Murray State.

Any chance we could be looking at a second-round rematch with Purdue? I would kind of like to see some revenge there! Wigginton vs Edwards would be a great match up.
yes, I'd be pretty happy since Edwards has a bad back so might not be 100%.

At the same time, ISU and Purdue have been matched up the last 2 times ISU has been in the dance. I'd like to see someone else like Wisconsin
