Will Prohm ever win a championship?

Yes because real life is exactly like being a fan of some amateur basketball team. Good call.

Baylor has been a sh*tty matchup for ISU for years, and TCU seems to be too. Splitting with both would have been great, and it was *this* close 3/4 times, but if you really look at it, the way those teams play is a problem for this ISU group.

SY is someone that would have provided help in both games as he provides size and some length and iirc was pretty good at guarding the pick and roll.

Now you'll go have a meltdown and scream outside for a while and come back and say that CSP wouldn't have played SY, but you don't actually know that...it's just all a part of your magnified anger.

Im not even angry anymore, more like apathetic. The best we can do at this point is to finish the season strong and hope to improve our seeding.

Conference Championship is probably gone for us, but we still have the B12 tourney and the big dance to show case our selves. Mostly gonna be who we match up against. We could tear a deep run if we play within our potential.

People who are upset are just incapable of living with failure.

Nah, its just I think we should be able to at least split with Baylor who is missing their best player and TCU who was 3 games under .500 in the conference.
If they would have slipt with Baylor and TCU, but got swept by K State, KU, and T Tech, which is TBT, would that change your perspective? Honestly, I feel better about splitting with KU, KState, and T .Tech, than splitting with Baylor and TCU, but I am not sure you feel the same.

I never wrote the second part of what you ascribe to me. Don't you ever f*cking make up sh!t about what I write in order to push your agenda again. Personally, I think that's a good reason for a temporary ban.
!. That wasn't in response to you.
2. I am not sure what my agenda is.
3. Why would I be banned for opposing thoughts of another?

Obviously you don't need my validation, as you put it, since you quite clearly think and feel quite highly about yourself as it is.

Put your money where your mouth is; you are on record as supporting a coaching change. I want some names from you; who do you want to see be our next coach? Names please.
I don't think it is fair to just start pulling names out of a far. We would need to know more about who is available, what assistants are in line for a head coach position, etc. etc.

Prohm has made the same mistakes for years now, so he either needs to improve his apparent weaknesses or I am sure they could find someone with better in game coaching than him.

Yeah you’ve been here all along for conversation. You’re agenda was pretty easy to pick out right away.

Disappearing when we win is such a **** thing to do. because it shows that you would rather see Iowa State lose so you can complain about the coach, than see us be successful.

1. You continue to misrepresent me and there isn't anything I can do. I am not glued to the computer and this website every game.
2. Have you actually told me what my agenda is? I'm not sure I know.
3. You say complaining, I say having a conversation, by points on flaws in Prohm and how he coaches. I don't think I take a whiny tone. Just pointing out what I see, which is the opposite of some blind faith you seem to have in him.

What do you mean why so? You really have no expectations for this team to be able to handle teams like Baylor and TCU at least once? I don't think it is too much to ask for at least a split. Baylor is missing an all-conference player and TCU has been playing terrible basketball lately. They just lost in Stillwater to one of the most depleted teams in college basketball ffs.

Are you a boss? People should be lining up to work for you if this is the expectations you have in real life.

It's not like a real job. It's just not. It's silly to compare his expectations to the expectations we have at our jobs. The competition is different. Expected success rates are different. Prohm's job is already much, much easier to lose than most of our jobs as it is, and he faces much stiffer competition. Plus, I think if you to really judge a coach like people are judged at their jobs, they would get a multi-year sample size because the variability game to game is much larger than the normal job.

Clearly, a lot of your criticism over the last month plus has been warranted, but I don't think it's fair to make that point.

Numbering/Bulleting your responses doesn't give you any validation or make you look smarter.

If you can't or won't provide any actual names, then quit bringing it up.

Why do we need to limit it to who is available (and assistants....serious?). If there is a current coach that you like, I don't see why we couldn't go after that.

Yeah. You seem to have time to be here nonstop when we lose, but never when we win.

Where were you last weekend. Bad weather and all in Iowa, like you said was the reason you had time this weekend. Where were you after tech? Oklahoma? Mississippi?

Amazingly, you weren’t here then. But this week you’re all over it. Wonder why?

Where were you? Don’t say too busy, because you’ve already proven that to be a lie

I and others have had our intelligence questioned merely because don't think Prohm is as good as others think. I wasn't trying to gain, "intelligence points." Just trying to be clear about what was being said.

All I said was I wouldn't mind to see a coaching change. Obviously we would have to look a lot deeper into that. I never actually called for him to be fired.

Oh, quit being such a drama king. Nobody has questioned your intelligence, just your motives and agenda.

Yes, this weekend I have been in all weekend and now that I am interested in a lot of the conversation, I am checking this site more frequently than normal.

I actually put my money on Iowa State against Ole Miss and Tech. Didn't against OU. Tempted to take -9 tomorrow even though ISU has lost straight up 3 times with a spread this big at home. I don't want to see them lose, just don't think Prohm the coach is all he is cracked up to be. There seems to be more lately that agree with me. I am sorry you disagree.

That's certainly not a fair view of the coaching job market. Most schools don't just snap their fingers and have someone. It's that strange combination of openings and coaches quietly floating their names out there.

Since we don't have any of that info, why press for specific names unless you just want to ridicule whatever names he puts out there

Prohm has a lot of failings as an in-game coach. It's not unfair to say that.We can even specify that it's a virtual guarantee in close games that we'll barely score the last 4-6 minutes, and inbounds situations are always going to be a struggle.

But calling him out about names for a coaching search when he can't have any info to respond with is just trying to set the guy up for ridicule. That's weak.

Erik, I like you, but c'mon dude.

The poster in question is on record of being supportive of a coaching change. I am not expecting a realistic list from him or the 5 hottest names in college basketball right now. I wanted to see if he had anyone in mind. He certainly seems confident enough in himself in his other posts. Why wouldn't he be confident and comfortable in jotting down a couple of names?

As weak as disappearing when we win?
