If he was so great he would have been hired. Money certainly wasn't the problem. And he was ready. This AD has done a lot of stuff quietly but with professionalism. He rejected Littrell. I trust his judgment.

That seems like the simplest answer here.
It's certainly a simple cover for Littrell being rejected. And sources down here say it's baloney.
If they rejected him (with what the current slate appears) theyre just as big of morons as if they put strings on his staff.
It seems odd he would have been rejected, but whatever.
We’ll see if the new coach retains the old staff.
This is what K State boosters are doing right now.
The selection of the staff will be revealing. There is talk going around that KSU is unusual in that the assistants all have guaranteed contracts and that they can’t afford to fire the entire staff.
Hold on, are you actually surprised that a bunch of posters on an ISU board aren't exactly rooting for KSU to knock this hire out of the park?
Some k-state fan on reddit was making the same kind of complaints about ISU fans enjoying the news that the kstate coaching search was going poorly.
