after watching jacobsen play i really like his game and THT gets to the rim in a hurry from half court, so when
lindell, lard, young and talley all come back how is coach going to use the rotation because i think tyrese has earned alot minutes also because he is a very good defender and active hands
babb, lindell, THT, shayok and jacobsen starting? or can he go babb lindell shayok lard and jacobsen at the 4
it will be interesting on what he will rotate
I think you're on to the 2 best options there. I would guess that he would hold off starting Lard at first, which would leave a line-up of NWB, Wiggy, THT, Shayok and Jacobson. But the line-up I'm thinking might eventually prevail is NWB, Wiggy, Shayok, Jacobson and Lard.
Ultimately, the latter line-up favors Jacobson and Lard over the less-experienced THT (who would be 6th man). THT might have something to say about this over the next month, of course.
Maybe it will depend on other teams' line-ups.
Jacobson is better than I had guessed and I THINK they can keep this good ball movement with him at a 4 and Lard or Young in there at the same time. There will be some height to combat in B12 games (not to mention Iowa). It's hard to bench a guy scoring at a 16 ppg clip at the present.
My assumption is that Young will not be able to play too many minutes when he first comes back (not a doctor and did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night). My guess is the 4 subs getting most of the minutes off the bench would end up being THT, Haliburton, Talley and Young.
Conditt, Lewis, and Griffin have a few games left to stake a claim or playing time could be lean in conference play for them simply because of the incredible depth that we have 1 to 12 (assuming we ever get there).
