God I hope its not Miles. Right as we start getting traction a real proven winner would come along to make the conference bottom feeder relevant.
I want Miles, he'd be an epic fail there

#%@& Miles. I'll take Matt Campbell every day of the week and twice on Sunday over The Hat. KU will get better...and so will we.God I hope its not Miles. Right as we start getting traction a real proven winner would come along to make the conference bottom feeder relevant.
Day one (well, before day one) Miles will be asking for HUGE dollars for facilities upgrades which KU needs badly. If he can't get a commitment for hundreds of millions of dollars towards upgrades he won't be at KU.I think he's smart enough to not want the job. It's one thing to take over a bad program - Campbell did it - but it's another to take over a bad program where nobody gives a **** about the team one way or the other. It's the lack of fan support that makes the job so unattractive.
Man, I think OU, Michigan, and tOSU are way better jobs than LSU. I agree with a lot of what you said though.Les Miles was okay at LSU. I know his record was very good and they were constantly good but LSU is probably a top 3-5 job in terms of how easy it is to get kids there and how well you're set up to win. It's above OSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, and others we think of as top football schools. When he was at OSU, they were okay. One 8-4 season I believe. That's fine, but it isn't something that jumps out at me anymore than Mark Mangino. In fact, that comparison may not be far off. I believe the game changed and Les was passed by while Manginos offense was just downloaded by everyone. I just don't think he's the guy to bring them to relevancy. By that I mean I think he could get them to 6-6 or 7-5 but he's not bringing them championships.

I just dont see all the love for Candle. He hasn't be very impressive to me overall. I think going to Kansas would be an epic fail.I saw a tweet showing Jason Candle as a wish. I'm not sure I'd like having a guy that does things like Matt there.
Miles doesn't settle his LSU issue for that small of an amount without knowing he is getting a big contract to coach somewhere else.
Not sure why you wouldn't continue to collect a big paycheck for doing nothing instead of taking over that dumpster fire, but you do you Les
I guess. You'd think he has better offers, but maybe not.Competitive people tend to stay competitive.
Plus, if he sucks at KU and gets fired, he’ll get another payout.
