They cannot possibly have a worse hire than the last three.
They could overpay for someone who had success at a better program, like Les Miles, invest a ton of money into him, and have him retire in a few years without actually winning anything.
A lot of KU fans seem to think Les Miles will be their savior. He had built in recruiting base at LSU and tons of backing with great assistants.
He won't have either of those at KU. He wont even have great facilities by LSU standards.
KU needs a young hot coach who wants his shot at a P5 job. He needs to come in hot, win some games, move to a bigger job, and set up the next coach for success.
