Not exactly sure.
I don't know. They said that everything is okay earlier than that but contact sports are 9 months if not longer. The physical therapists says that when all is done her injured knee should be stronger than before the injury.

If she isn't more diligent about doing her exercises, using her electro-shock therapy torture device and icing the surgery site it will be longer than expected rather than shorter. It already is a battle.

Electro? My son only had that about a handful of times at the therapist. She needs to stay hard with any quads activities they suggest. Those are the ones that keep here from limping. Our son's is beefier than before. One problem people have is all the attention to the injuried knee will take away from thoughts of the good one. Girls are more likely to have another injury than boys due to this.

We had an electro icer that we dumped ice and water in, then wrapped it around his knee. It made it simple.

It sounds like you are describing the Polar Cube which we bought for her to easily ice her knee.

She also got a Knee-hab which electrically stimulates the quad.

We reminded her repeatedly before surgery how important exercises were after surgery but like all teenagers she is bulletproof and three feet thick.

Similar to the polar cube just different. Unfortunately I will admit I lied, and had the PTers also lie a bit to my kid to push him. There was a 1 in a million chance he could be back for wrestling so we told him it was a lot better chance than that and it pushed him.

He knew he would have been a ranked wrestler without the injury. If he could have made weight, he would have been a probable state qualifier by knowing who did. The PT doctor actually was supposed he wasn’t released to wrestle because she said he work and progressed better than anybody she’d had. Turns out it’s just body acceptance. Nearly 0 blood flow at 6 months. Decent at 9 months and good at 12. Full recovery is said to be 2 years.

We live on one of the busier streets through our neighborhood with a 30 MPH speed limit. People regularly go much faster even on the curve right by our house. Last week we had two accidents within half a block of our house.

The first accident someone apparently took the curve too fast and took out the street light right in front of our house. The car continued for another 50 feet or so on our lawn and reentered the street via our driveway. The car must have still been moving very fast because they were leaving rubber marks on the street when back on it. The went another 100 feet or so in the parking lane and swerved at the very last second apparently narrowly missing the only parked car in the lane for two blocks. Of course this was a hit and run accident in the middle of the night.

The second accident someone jumped the curb and rolled their car into and through our neighbor's fence at about 10:30 pm Saturday. When our neighbors saw it the driver was performing a sobriety test very poorly. The fence and yard were totally mangled, luckily they came to a stop before hitting the house.

I should probably be calling our city's PD and point out that we have had two incidents within a week on that curve and ask what they are going to do to try reduce the number of motorists treating it like a grand prix course.
We have the same problem in our neighborhood. People come down the hill which curves too fast and take out the mailbox across the street.

I was working in my garage one day and heard a skid sound, turned around and some kid had the left side tires in the strip of grass between the sidewalk and road. This was early spring so the ground was real soft and the tires sunk in about 6 inches. His eyes were as wide as saucers and he just gunned it and took off.

He had hit the sand as he came around the corner which slid the car left about 20 degrees then caught the dry pavement which is how he ended up in my yard.

Same here. Problem is, we're trying to level a section of our land, and by the time it's dry enough to get the fill dirt truck in there, they can dump maybe two loads for us to pack down before it gets too wet again. We're watching a lot of fill dirt heading for the creek at the bottom of the hill.

Just out of curiosity, can you tell me what you are paying for a load of fill dirt? (I assume you're not buying black dirt, too expensive)

I know it sucks but you can't over emphasis the rehab part enough. Doing what they want you to do and pushing things to the limits they set really pay dividends in the long run. (Voice of experience here.)

Good luck brow beating her into listening.

North Texas is in the lecturer market, and one of their spots is me to a T.
So I looked at the online profiles provided by the department for the 4 current lecturers. First two got their PhDs at North Texas. Heart attack.
Other two came from other schools. We're good to go.

The VT job is better as a tenure-track one, but this one is a really obvious one.
So, 2 to send out.

$100 per load for clean fill. Dirty fill (more rocks & concrete chunks) is a little cheaper. Black dirt (which will go on top once we have it built up) is ~$300. Part of the issue is that it comes from Ames. If we lived closer, it would be slightly cheaper.

Oh! They honored the '83 Iowa coaching staff on the field at Kinnick on Saturday some time in the 1st quarter, in which Coach Mac was part of it. Late 1st or early 2nd quarter, I see that Coach Mac is in the suite all the way to the left (as I'm facing) of the press box. Texted husband that Coach Mac was up there, his response...

H: Bet it's windy in there.
Me: No doubt about it.

Washing machine keeps getting off balanced. Made sure it was level and tried the easy fix route with no luck. Hoping to find a local repair shop that will sell me the parts otherwise I will be going to my parents to do our laundry tomorrow night. That sounds like a blast.

I just want to make sure you understand that would mean you would have to live in Denton, TX.
