I'll save people the Googling effort. The Ogling is up to them. :)

A few years ago, Herb "re-whippped" that album cover...

Maybe I posted this earlier in the thread, maybe not. I'm doing it anyway. :)

Won't suit everyone's taste, but if you appreciate a "headphones" experience, it's worthy. (Also works on a road-trip playlist).

Great add! Definitely has a Spiders feel to it.

I'm glad this thread was bumped because I missed it the first time around.

I'm going to try and avoid pure jazz, because I could post pages of that, so I'll stick with ones I'd classify as instrumentals, but not because they don't ever have a lead singer.

But I'll throw in a few jazz nuggets too, because they are awesome to me and I want to share them.

Here's a great track from an underrated band that I love, Cloud Nothings

Great DJ/Musician who's also done some excellent collaborations with lyricists.

Here's my favorite of his instrumentals

Steve Vai has tons of cred as a guitarist and has been part of many bands, but I don't think he gets enough credit for his solo work.

Here's one of my favorites of his from an album I listened to from front to back over and over again in the 90s.

@Fitzy beat me to the most obvious RUSH instrumental, YYZ, but I'll post a couple of my other favorites. A classic from 1978's Hemispheres album and a lesser known, but quite awesome tune from 2007's Snakes and Arrows.

Check out the bass line in particular on this one!

"I Can't Turn You Loose" in the Blues Brothers also had bits of this song -- the opening, specifically.

Also...the original "I Can't Turn You Loose" (Otis Redding) had words.
