Also, now Im itching to start the basement remodel. Problem is, I have about 100 other things on the list I want to get done first. Including blowing in insulation this weekend. Thankfully, my parents and brothers have been so kind to "volunteer" to help us with that. So, if any of you get tired of deinking, fishing, golfing, relaxing, or whatever else you are doing this weekend, feel free to come over. There is plenty to do.
Yeah, I'll be right over after I finish prepping and staining the deck.

I think my in-laws are planning to visit. I'll be happy to come help.

Just getting home from my first Jimmy Buffett concert experience. He puts on a quality show. His opener was a young woman named Caroline Jones. She was very good and afterwards was available to sign and take pictures. She signed my ticket and a lady behind me in line was nice and took a picture because like most events I go to I was by myself.

One song was about hometowns and the screen behind the band started playing shots of things from Iowa. After a few pictures came some from ISU which got a good cheer then right after came the Iowa ones which got a bigger cheer (I silently booed) Maybe it's better they take the instate title of being the bigger parrot heads. The people watching effect at this was on par with the state fair.

So you're not doing Crossfit?

Who am I kidding. If you were doing Crossfit you'd have told everyone already, multiple times.

I’m impressed she got 405# off the ground. Somebody needs to teach her form before she kills herself though.

Sorry, I'll be busy at the in-laws cabin drinking, fishing, golfing and relaxing. Actually, FIL is selling it in about 3 weeks so we'll be busy cleaning and removing stuff.

I need to bring my power washer over to a friends to clean her deck. Was planning on doing it tonight or tomorrow. Got roped into something tonight so it looks like tomorrow.

Forgot to mention this last night. At the Tailgate Tour I heard the biggest humble-brag I've ever heard. While Matt Campbell was fielding questions one guy raised his hand and said, "I have a question for Coach Campbell; I'm related to Gary Patterson's father-in-law so every year we bet on the ISU-TCU game. Well, this year I won the bet since we won the game. And I have to say we bet a pretty sizeable amount so I donated it to the Cyclone Club." There was a bit of an awkward pause and a few audible groans while everyone waited to see if he was actually going to ask a question or if he was just interested in telling everyone how much money he donated to the Cyclone Club. Coach Campbell finally just said, "Thank you for the donation and thanks for the confidence in the program."

Yeah, Patterson’s wife’s family is from north iowa. I have a friend who was at the wedding. Said he saw this attractive, young woman marrying an older, short, pudgy, slightly balding man. Knew it had to be love at first sight for her.

It would have been a nice little story if he kept the sizable remark out. 2

Well got the lawn mowed last night. If I get it mowed again in a couple of days it might look good. Got too long now it's uneven and windrows botho_O.

@BCClone catching the tailgate tour at the Surf tonight at 5:30?

Will be at a HS softball game tonight. Will stop there since I would probably bore everyone but birdy with it. My sis and BIL are always there. So I get saved seats when I do make it.

Edit: actually hoped to be sitting in a tractor. One long day left to wrap thing s up.

Mediacom was out in Ames and surrounding areas last night. It went out about 5:45 due to a cut line in a construction site in Ankeny from what I was told. At 5:50 I got an 800# call, here it was Mediacom asking me if I wanted to up my internet speed. I started laughing and the guy asked what was so funny. I told him about the cable being out. They marketing guy told me he was sitting in a cubicle in West Des Moines and that it would be a couple of hours and we would have it back by then if not sooner. Yeah sure thing on that!! Meanwhile 6 hours later we finally got it back.

You would think if he wanted to cover his humble-brag, that he would at least ask a question at the end. Otherwise, it just looks like blatant tooting of one's own horn.
