NFL: 2018 NFL Draft

I think Denver trades with Buffalo then trades up a little to take Nelson at 7 or 8.

That’s what I’d do if I was the GM. If Chubb is there at 5, I’d take him. I’m a Rosen fan but Denver sources say he’s not an option

I've heard the only QBs Elway would want at five are Mayfield or Allen. I think they might move down if the right trade is offered, but they need secondary help so James or Fitzpatrick would offer more immediate help.

Bears talk a little lax here, so I'm hoping they get Chubb if he falls down that much, but I'd be ok with it if Nelson is picked, though I'd be even more happy with Roquan/Fitzpatrick. I think Edmunds is really good, but will need time.

Whoever thinks Ridley needs to go because the Bears don't have receiving help is a ******* idiot. Receiving is fine, and The Biscuit did relatively ok having garbage receivers last year.

Ridley would be an enormous reach at 8. The Bears have more immediate needs than WR anyway.

All respect to Lazard and all, but this is a very weak WR class. Ridley and Deon Cain should be the only WR's taken in the 1st, and even Cain is a stretch, but I'm of a mind that if you can't get a QB (don't need) or an amazing pass rusher (Chubb or bust), then just take the best player that you can get for a position of relative need, and hope for the best.

Agree. I'm a Colts fan, and the nice thing about being a fan of the Bears or Colts today is that they need help everywhere so damn near whatever they do is going to look good on paper.

And yeah, I don't know if I'd call it a weak WR class - I think there are plenty of guys with the potential to be fine second or third receivers. But there's no Julio Jones or Odell Beckham Jr in the group.

Right I would agree, a little harsh on the very weak class, but this is a good draft for cheap receiving help. A lot of great prospects in the 3rd-5th rounds, Lazard included.

Really, Mayfield the #1 pick? HAHAHA Do it Cleveland.

I don't buy it. Cleveland manages to keep everything quiet for months and then this breaks 48 hours before the draft? I think this is just the Browns seeing what they could squeeze out of the Jets or Bills or whoever else is interested in Mayfield.

And I think it would be a mistake to reach on one of the top 2 WRs when there is no sure fire superstar WR available.

That would seem to be obvious if they were intelligent. So are you Cleveland? Guess we'll find out tonight. Seems like you could get Baker at 15+ or not even the first round just a few days ago.

Somehow I'm getting the feeling that Cleveland is going to end up with Josh Allen. Perhaps they move down with one of the picks but that would be fitting.
