What is she drawn towards for a major? If Iowa is actually a top school then it's harder to make a case against it. Nephew has talked about going their for the writing program not sure if he has actually applied.
These stories always make me think of a prof at ISU - actually a department chair - whose daughter went to Iowa to pursue an eventual law degree. Scholastically, it made sense. But the dad said how he would only ever write a check to his daughter for her to put toward tuition, he never paid anything directly to Iowa. Oh, and salt on the wound was when this daughter of a very, very big ISU wrestling fan became a wrestling cheerleader............for Iowa.
I figure we'll avoid this in the future because we are in WI. Anything they'd want to pay out of state to Iowa for, they can probably get just as good a program for at UW. I don't see where Iowa would have the advantage. Other than distance from parents. But I'm sure our sweet future children would never want such a thing
