How do you grade ISU football season 2017?

I get that wins were left out there and the room for improvement arguments, but I don’t see how this was anything less than an A season.

Even if you “predicted” 7-8 wins before the season, you did not pick those 8 wins.
No one had OU and I’d doubt many had TCU.

Like others have said, let’s get to the point where 7-8 wins is a C or B season.

A+++ for Campbell's 2nd season based on my preseason expectations.

D for the refs.

Needed to not piss away the Iowa and KSU games to get an A. Yesterday it was nice to see the guys and the coaching staff figure out a way to just end the game. Pretty risky sending all those guys at the end, but it paid off.

Preseason this would have been an A. After TCU this was a C result. With officiating taken into account I give it an A-

Absolutely an A. CMC hands were still tied with some personnel issues. This is the type of season I hoped we might have next year. I think the biggest challenge of this season is that he is going to have to perform an equal feat next year to move things ahead.

Not sure any ISU team in any sport has exceeded expectations by as much as this team.

I gave an 8 win season a B-. However, if this was versus my, and everyone else’s expectations, then I would give it an A. I had hoped for a 5-7 season, with 8-4 next year.

I don't know how you can say we were anything but robbed in the K State game.

I initially chose B+, but changed to A- after remembering that hose job.

I graded on a curve and gave it an A. We were expecting 6 or fewer wins this year and ended up with 8.

Next year 8 wins will not get an A

I think we are a year ahead of where I was expecting us to be. We lost some close games, but no blowouts and progress made in closing out some games (OU/TCU/Memphis). I hope the progress continues ahead of expectations, but as we get better it gets more difficult to continue improving at this pace. I would say at least 9-3 is the goal next year to be ahead of my overall hopes for the program.

The call was one of the worst things I've seen but ISU still had the lead and just had to play defense like they had for most of the game to avoid letting KSU go about 85 yards in a very short time. The poor clock management and decision to go prevent and then the bad position/tackling was glaring.

'A' for expectations vs. what happened though. In most seasons that TCU game would have been a mess after all the hype but they pulled it off and the crowd/atmosphere/win were one big recruiting tool.

I really thought we were going bowling this year, but figured it would be 6-6.

Knowing that we should be 9-4 with that K State screwjob, that would have been a 6 win turnaround from last year which is almost unbelievable.

B+, we lost some very winnable games (Iowa, Oklahoma State, K-State) but we still far exceeded expectations. I'm really excited for the future of ISU football!

We look the part, only true a couple times since the 1970's.

A+

I'd put West Virginia up there with a winnable game. Slow start, defense was sloppy and leaky and the offense couldn't muster much against a bad defense. They were due for a let down after a fantastic October but that was there for the taking.
