Thanks to @CycloneRulzzz for this one!

When do you start into the listening of Christmas music?

And to expand on the idea a bit - do you have any good playlists of Christmas music to share? I'm going to see if I can export my monster playlist I've created.

I typically do it while putting up the X-mas tree, or when we have guests over -- playing in the background. It's not really a big thing at our house.

We usually do our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving and start listening to some then.

I can't link my Spotify list without sharing personal deets, so here's just a screenshot of a few songs on it.

I'll put it on if we're putting up the tree, putting up the lights or driving around looking at lights. Basically, something Christmas-y. I'll also put it on in the car and turn it up if my wife and daughter feel the need to start arguing about dumb crap and need to chill out. It's passive-aggressive, but it's mine.

We listen to it from about a week or so before Thanksgiving through New Years and have a couple of playlists of various artists (Penatonix, Buble, Josh Groban, Mannheim) along with the fun ones of Straight No Chaser, Adam Sandler and Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. They are not constantly on but we listen to the same other crap for 11 months a year why not enjoy something different for a bit.

I think it's fine after Thanksgiving, though I probably won't listen to it much until after I'm done with finals.

Also, I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas music. As a general rule if it wasn't something that we sung at mass/wasn't around when A Charlie Brown Christmas came out, I'm not a huge fan

We wife has been slowly introducing it into your day-to-day after about Halloween. The woman loves her some damn Christmas.

I wait until as close to Christmas as possible. I worked in retail for 4 years while I was in college and that absolutely ruined Christmas music for me. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened to George Michaels during Christmas 1983.

I start after Thanksgiving. At work in the past week I've went on to my iheart radio app and put on the North Pole channel for awhile. It plays mostly the funny songs and the non theology songs. I wish they would add those songs because I enjoy silent night and songs like that.

I no longer really seek it out. Two years ago I posted a 'different' Christmas song to my FB page every day between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I could do that as my On That Note posting next week if anyone would like to see what some self proclaimed 'music guy' finds different. [I might do it anyway.]

And my FL jukebox is on the blink, so no loading all my Xmas 45's into that for the season unless I can get it up and operational again soon.

I tried to listen to it a couple times before Thanksgiving but couldn't do it. We put up our tree on Sunday so now I'm all in! I usually pick out Pentatonix or TSO or just listen to the local radio station that plays Christmas songs. When we get together with my family for Christmas eve we have to listen to a compilation CD called A Very Cherry Christmas since it was our favorite growing up.

Usually when I go to church with the family on Christmas. I always hope they sing Hark the Herald Angels Sing but it’s usually some bull crap like Go Tell It On the Mountain.
