As we finished up pregame tailgating on Saturday and prepared to enter Jack Trice, I decided to not lock up my cooler in the car. Instead, I left it in the tailgating tent, towards the back where it wasn't very visible.
I came out at halftime to enjoy a couple cold ones, and found that my 16 remaining bottles of beer were gone, except for one untouched Michelob Golden Draft Light lying on the bed of ice as a kind of offering.
My question: Was I naive in assuming that other thirsty tailgaters wouldn't immediately sprint to my cooler as soon as I was out of sight?
