MLB: ***Official Yankees Postseason Thread***

Ouch. That didn't look good for Encarnacion. Hope it isn't a broken ankle but man that turned over bad.

Tough break in the game as Indians lose Encarnacion for the game and probably more (best case looks like a bad bad sprain).

Not sure why the Indians fans reaction was to start a "YANKEES SUCK!" chant rather then giving their star an ovation. Guessing they think Didi shouldn't have tagged him out?

That was a strike out to end the inning.

Girardi f'd up that inning. Pulling CC was a mistake.
 
I normally don't hate on Girardi but he blew that game. If he would've challenged the HBP there would've never been a grand slam. That probably losses the Yankees the series now. Thanks Joe.

Yeah, wouldn't be shocked if Girardi gets canned now when I was 100% confident before the game he'd get retained.
 
Getting picked off second was the end of the season for the Yankee$. Time to go out and buy more players.

Haha you clearly don’t know much about the Yankees if you think they are going out and buying players. They are planning on being below the luxury tax next season and probably have a good chance at winning the WS.

I think they should fire him. He has lost so many games this season for the Yankees it’s unbelievable. They have the worst record in baseball in games decided by 1 run. It’s something stupid like 10-29. The Yankees should’ve won the east and they should’ve won last night.

He did a good job managing through all of the injuries but has totally blown on managing the bullpen. So many blown saves, some on him, some on guys just having bad outings...it's been very weird. I am thinking that with a resurgent lineup they might turn somewhere else for a manager. Not sure who, there is no one out there I dream of as suiting up in pinstripes. About the only guy I really like is the opponents manager last night and he has a good job.

Yes I agree, Terry Francona is the dream. I think the team needs new blood for the manager. Someone that can bring this team their 28th ring. I don’t think the Yankees can lure away Terry but being the Yankees manager is the best job in baseball. That has a lot of pull.

And only the Yankee$ would be able to resign all of their amateur signees who are now stars like Judge and Sanchez. Yes they have scouted well, but they don't have to worry about keeping young stars like the Twins do.
