If you really want to keep the Big 12 strong you keep your mouth shut in the media about keeping your options open. Everyone who matters if you leave already know that anyway. Talking about it only makes the league weaker.
Love how everyone's ignoring the main point of Boren's dissatisfaction - which has never wavered - the Big 12 schools caving in to Texas and letting them have their own network. If OU leaves, it's the Big 12's own fault. No conference network. Posters can rip Boren, but without the Sooners, we're toast.

OU made $40 million for the Big 12 by playing in the Sugar Bowl last year. The year before they were in the playoff. That's big bucks for the conference. I'm sure Pollard cashed our check from them. He's right. The conference missed the boat there. No doubt.
But that horse already left the barn. The ACC Network is still just a concept and the PAC 12 Network is a bust.
Forward, Boren! Think future!

Maybe we should worship OU like we have Texas...
Sure they can. That's fine. But OU wants a conference network. Or they might look elsewhere.OU can have their own network too. If ISU can do it, OU sure as hell can.
As an ISU fan who isn't looking for membership in the AAC I would say it's in our best interest to keep Boomer and the Cows as happy as possible.
