RECRUITING: Hans Brase sets official visit (COMMITS)

Already a hawkeye fan chiming in with "Transfer U"

Fact: They would take any transfer they could get.
Fact: Arguably their best player in the past 5 years was a transfer.
Fact: ISU's production still has mostly been from 4 year players.
Fact: There are 700+ transfers a year anymore. Every school is Transfer U.
Fact 6 straight NCAA appearances.

I was checking to see if there could've been a possible language barrier...Now I'm terrified.

All we need is 15 solid minutes a game. Play D, hit a couple threes and grab a couple boards. Tourney bound.

That would be awesome. My concern is that could be the upside. I'm sorry, but the kid has played 5-games in two years and has had two surgeries; can somebody help me here, what are the expectations?

I listed the expectations. Playing time might be less if Lard is slot better. If nothing else, some leadership will help.

I like the fact that he's a 1 year player, it won't threaten future recruits, we need front court depth, he gives us another option while our young bigs develop, he's mature and shows great leadership, he'll help our team GPA...

Only 12 returning starts. Whew. Everyone, please be patient with these guys...

Besides only 12 returning starts...

4 returning players (that is it) -- Jackson, Weiler-Babb, Young, and (spot minutes) Long

Jackson and Weiler-Babb played in every game, at least, and Solomon played in all except the 4 he was out with the hand injury and the Vanderbilt game.

1,728 returning minutes (out of 7,000 so 24.7%)

506 returning points (out of 2,828 so 17.9%)

This is borderline a new team coming in next year.

Perfection.

Also, growing to 6'10".

Anything less and we should cancel the basketball program.

CW is not working today -- so of course we got him.

CW better not ask Chad why he didn't write an article complaining about 31 D1 coaches other than Campbell who didn't vote for Iowa last November....I got blocked for it.

GIves us a stretch 4 with experience.

Prohm said if we can get a stretch four to commit we can be competitive next year. And he thinks we can make it seven straight.

He must think this is/would be a good pick up.

i agree; my hope is Lard is the real deal and excels as our 'stretch'4. I'm concerned Brase may not be in condition till January.
