I'm hoping they don't let her cover tennis any more. I know, I'm the only one that watches tennis.
I watch a lot of tennis, it's one of those sports that comes on at unusual times of the day. "Oh look, 6:30 AM and there's live tennis on." Granted this is usually the Tennis Channel not ESPN.

And shame on those who hopes Hassle gets the ax. Dudes a great talent even though he's a Hawkeye homer.

Although I think it'd be a blessing in disguise for him as he could leave to go do something more creative elsewhere rather than the crap ESPN has been having him do.
ESPN was using Hassel wrong. They should have used him like Soundoff did as a guy that makes the show funny and a 3rd guy. ESPN made him act too formal which isn't the setting he's the best in. I would have kept Hassel and turned him into what Soundoff did but there would be too many SJW out there hating the skits.

Does ESPN need a bunch of skits?

I have to say I'm a little surprised to not see John Clayton on the list. Not that there's anything wrong with his work, but with Mort and Schefter already around how many NFL insiders do you really need?

Especially with ESPN's decision with a similar situation on the MLB side to axe Jayson Stark in favor of keeping Olney and Kurkjian.

Maybe I'm biased and Hassel is a friend of mine, but the man just lost his job. I get he's a public figure and can take it, but don't quite understand the need to take shots at him. Do you, I guess.

Exactly. People forget he has a family that he supports.

I was also thinking about what a ***** way to get fired. If most of us lose our job, we have to explain it to our family and friends, but they'll be supportive. This is all so public. Twitter has been a bizarre experience today, with people coming forward one-by-one to announce they've lose their job. It would suck to get the axe in such a public manner.
