Husband and I talk about how there are a lot of cities/towns in Iowa that are not in "their" county. Wapello is not in Wapello County, Keokuk is not in Keokuk, Des Moines is not in Des Moines...Polk City is in Polk, and Story City is in Story. And I guess Dubuque is in Dubuque. Sioux City not in Sioux County, but Sioux Center is. Drat...more exceptions...Washington is in Washington County, but Iowa City not in Iowa County.

99 counties.....100 court houses. Iowa is CRAZY...needs to secede......makes sense....we are the only state that values education and puts it on our quarter and we are so freaking smart we get the first Caucus. We are smarterer than people from St. Paul, Minnesota!
