I figured he was dead. I thought he was old when I watched it.

Rolled over this morning and got an armful of wife. While this might make most guys happy, what it told me was its raining outside. She walks with a friend every morning.

Think I might buy a sump pump just in case. Assuming they will be sold out soon and just in case another goes I will have one.

Wife told me late last night that we are stopping by her relatives for a get together after the HS game tonight. She didn't like the, are you crazy, look. The game is two hours away and we will be getting up at 7 for the ISU game the next day. Will get home around 1-2 am, get everything put away (was then also informed that the daughter has two friends going to the HS game with us, meaning I will need to shuttle them home in the morning). My wife sleeps whenever she's in a vehicle so she doesn't think this is an issue, but the driver does.

CF needs a "sucks to be you" emoji.

I'd love to see the breakdown for what forums cause people to get banned. I feel like the cave would do pretty well in that. I know if I ever get banned (unless it's Bawbie doing it for science) it'll be for something dumb I say in the cave

Well, In-State Rivals wins that competition hands down (unless you don't count trolls). The Cave would be second.

also, reading this thread backwards is really bizarre.

I know some cave folks have gone on vacations, but I haven't been able to tell from their profiles or anything.
I think that's a question for.....

SUPER BAWBIE!!!!

Oh, here it is.

to the best of my knowledge, if someone is banned their user name will show up with a line through it.

ADDING: Nevermind, that doesn't work.

Ok, try this. If a user is banned, like @WeAreSoProud, when you click on their name - the profile will show a line through their name. At least for me.

When we lived in Lakeville our sump ran 24/7/365. It was illegally routed through our basement sink in the winter, and the rest of the time.there was a steady stream of water down the street from our sump. That soil was mainly clay.
This reminds me of the summer job I had for a small town in Iowa inspecting people's sump pumps for illegal connections to the sanitary sewer because what happens is it can overload the sewer and send backup into people's houses during hard rains. Fun times.

My house on old potato fields in Brooklyn Park may give it a run for its money. We have a sump in the basement that still has a little construction trash in it. It has clearly never been wet since the house was built in the mid '90's. I curse the inch of top soil over sand most of the time but when it gets really wet I realize that all that sand can be a blessing.

When I moved in there was no pump in the sump. Since it has clearly never been wet, I have never bothered to install one. It has a block foundation/basement by the way.

The old house has feet of topsoil over sand. Think it's why the trees grow so damn big right there. Neighbor kid and I used to dig foxholes back by the lilacs. We never even hit the sand. Only know it's sand because we used to have a sand wellpoint and the basement drain is just a hole into sand.

Now you are talking Minnesota! That sounds like my neighborhood. I am just high enough and don't have a sump but I bet if you could look into my foundation blocks they are full of water one block below the walkout level, at least in the back.

The city did do a good thing when they did the street rebuilds. They added underground pipe stubs from the storm sewers to each house so residents can hook up their sumps to the storm sewer and get rid of the sewer connections.

Looked at that one, looked at yours & looked at BC's & Boxster's. No line through the user name.

On BC & Boxster, there are four links: profile page, start a convo, follow, ignore
On yours there are three: profile page, start a convo, follow (guess we can't put mods on ignore?)
On WeAreSoProud there are three links: profile page, follow, ignore (guess we can't PM people if they are banned?)
Interesting.

That is interesting. The line through the name must be a mod-only thing. And yes, you can't ignore mods, that's the same on the old and new site.

Not for a few years now, but all the time a few springs ago.
Yes, it can happen without any reason you're aware of.

The last few weeks my chest has been tight (not painful, just tight) and if I'm even standing and talking in a group, I start to get out of breath. Again, not from being tired or in pain, but more just because my chest will start tightening up.
