oh yeah. There had been a couple bigger vehicles go through from the other direction but I was waiting on the sedan in front of me because I knew they had about as much clearance as I did.
When I was an intern up here with my wee little 2-door Toyota, I was going to work early one summer morning (2008 - that ring any bells as far as flooding?!) still dark out, and had been storming. I went down my normal side street to get to the main road and 'woof' as my car hit water in the road. New-to-town-me didn't realize how prone to flooding the side streets on the isthmus are. I don't know how deep this was, but enough to float trash cans across the street and feel alllllllllmost like my car was floating. I knew I probably wouldn't die cause it was just drain backup - not a moving water system or something, and the low part of the street wasn't that far across.
But man, I was scared to death that water was going to start coming in on my feet.
