I got Vermont in that state thingy. That sounds nice.

I wonder if that's what I was going to get until I said I liked the beach and workout more than 3x a week. Cause I like friendly people, four seasons, white winter, and foliage. Seemed very Vermont-y picks that I was making.

also got California. Figured for sure it'd be midwest when I picked cow as the animal I'd be ok with being on my porch.

Cali has a lot of variety though so that's probably why it's getting a lot of us. LA is pretty different from Sacramento and then the Central Valley.

Sacramento is ******* awful.

I thought that question was odd. Who wants to see a damn bear on their front porch?

"Sorry you didn't want to eat your vegetables Billy. Looks like it's your job to get the Sunday paper."

Same here, on the cow part. Remember, there's a lot of dairy in California...

I'd pick the wine country part of CA. So probably more northern, I guess. Do they have any of the national parks up that way? Yosemite maybe? I'd be cool with that.
Napa valley is NNE of San Francisco, Yosemite is due east. I like the Mendocino area (halfway up the coast between SF & the Oregon border).

With your love of history, you should be proud. Texas history is awesome. There's seems to be a bizarre twist and trash-talking involved in every significant event. It's like they combined the NBA, Melrose Place and a bunch of guns in one delicious stew.

For the first time ever, someone made Texas sound cool. I want in now.
