Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

I finally went running again today. Three miles. No rabid foxes but a couple scared squirrels. Tried yet another new pair of shoes and think they are too small. Also make my toes a bit numb/tingly. Beginning to think I'll never find shoes I like.

I am trying the Asics Gel-Nimbus. They are good so far but seem a bit bigger then the usual "runs 1/2 size small" traditional Asics. If I bought another pair I would probably order my usual size.

Looking at radar I am pretty sure we lost Dubuque. Bummer for Lawrence, he should have stayed he in the safe embrace of Mother Minnesota.

Still got power. Also I put out the trash before it started pouring. Now to see if the wind blows the trash cans away.

Kinda glad we went to the pool after the football team was there, but would have been fun to see them.

I think my oldest and I are probably going to get rained on at the KISS concert tomorrow night.

We are back to bleachers tomorrow. Football scrimmage. Wouldn't hurt my feelings for a rain out.

Babe Ruth World Series finally over, but now they're shooting off fireworks downtown.

Guess I won't sleep until those are over.

Completed third CG inspired test run (jog, it ain't really running yet). Three miles. Did not die and foot does not hurt. Somewhat optimistic.

Saw no rabid foxes.

you keep all that running up next time I come up for a bike ride I'll just be your pace setter on the bike as you go around the lakes. :) Congrats on the running be pain free for you Boxster.

While at work today some guys at work showed me these videos of youtube of a British couple where he films her saying the dumbest things. In the video below she says she could run 100m in 7-7.5 seconds. Maybe some nsfw language.

The first movie I remember seeing in the theaters was ET. I was then convinced that ET lived in the grove of trees behind our house and was scared of aliens.
My first movie in theaters was either ET or The Empire Strikes Back. Can't remember which. All I can tell you is that ET was the most terrifying movie I have EVER seen. 4-year old GTO was in tears. :(
