The first movie I remember seeing in the theaters was ET. I was then convinced that ET lived in the grove of trees behind our house and was scared of aliens.

There's a chance that I went and saw 101 Dalmations or Little Mermaid or something with my mom, brother, aunt, and cousins at one point. Not entirely sure but I have a vague memory of it. Don't think I went back to another movie until I saw something in the Dells on a weekend trip with a friend when I was like 16. That might have been the Johnny Cash movie with Reese actually.

I'm not generally a big country music fan but Johnny Cash music and some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups sounds like a pretty good evening to me.

Alumni run around Lake Nokomis isn't looking to promising based on the radar and Chico Escuela's forecast.

I don't think I saw Old Yeller the movie, but I do remember our teacher reading it to us. Back then - at least in our school - the teachers would read a chapter out of a book right after the noon lunch and recess. I guess to transition us back into calmness.

I don't remember my first movie in a theater. Probably something like the Nutty Professor or the first Flubber movie.

Before that I remember us going to the Hilltop Drive-In on the outskirts of Muscatine to see Journey to the Center of the Earth (with James Mason, Arlene Dahl and Pat Boone). It was a 1959 movie so we probably saw it the next summer.

That was probably one of my favorite parts of the day. :)

One of the must frustrating parts of having an in home daycare is the employees don't load the dishwasher or wrap the cord on the vacuum like you do.

Made Apple crisp from apples from my brother's tree. TBH they're from the ground under his tree - almost none left on the tree. Last time I bought oatmeal I bought something called steel cut oats - thinking it was the same thing. It's not. It's all I had, so I used it. Cooling now.

Will give a report in 45.

Boxster gives pictures and then mails out slices to the other RTTers. You need addresses?

Didn't wait. Still warm. The steel cut oats are a bit - um coarse? Not bad, just not like regular rolled oats/oat meal. I'll give it a 8.5 out of 10.

I can do the picture if someone really wants to see food - but it feels pretty Facebook-ish.

The picture was a lead in to get you to mail me a slice. Apple crisp is making my mouth water, now I'm thinking about cherry crisp and I might need to go buy some because we have neither apples or cherries. Just damn blueberries and I hate them.

Sorry, I make it a no-negotiation policy to never mail baked goods. You're welcome to pick up some more apples at my brother's house and make your own, though. Blue Grass is quite a ways from North Iowa, but maybe...

Completed third CG inspired test run (jog, it ain't really running yet). Three miles. Did not die and foot does not hurt. Somewhat optimistic.

Saw no rabid foxes.

I finally went running again today. Three miles. No rabid foxes but a couple scared squirrels. Tried yet another new pair of shoes and think they are too small. Also make my toes a bit numb/tingly. Beginning to think I'll never find shoes I like.
