Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

Friend's fiancé posts a selfie on FB with him saying 4 days until we share the same last name or some **** like that.

This lady comments "Would love to be a part of this celebration, Happy Wedding"

She then replies to her own comment, "Even though I wasn't invited, I wish you happiness.

Like wtf. What goes in people's head to comment something like that.

especially when it's all passive aggressive like that - "I wish you well even though you excluded me"

if you're going to go public about it, at least say what you think. "I hope you and your husband get scabies and he leaves you for a coed"

On my drive, there is road construction. Every morning the same scruffy guy with his motorcycle with a stop sign attached tells you left or right. It's been raining, he gotta be getting soaked.

This has to be an awful job. Maybe a car every couple minutes otherwise stand and pound the pud. Think at least a pickup you could drop the tailgate and get a radio, cooler maybe a little cover from the rain or heat.

In broad daylight??

Thought about getting a blank Facebook account so I can access things my kids are in. So I googled my name on Facebook. 10 with my name. Think nearly every single one is from Germany except my cousins grandson.

Road construction and Carnivals seem to attract some people that just look like they have been through hell.

Forgot about Carnies. When I was junior high age, I helped the carnival set up at the local fair. They told me what they got paid. I made more during the summer raising pigs.

Hey JC, how did the escapade with the daughters boyfriend go? Sure he was a complete gentleman on the swarah. Sure you all had a tantalizing time. Any more uncomfortable statements I can make?
All statements involving the boyfriend make me a little uncomfortable. I guess I'll just have to call it the new normal. I think you're mentioning the trip to the lake. That would have been my wife's cousin's daughter's boyfriend. It was weird but went fine. they didn't socialize much with anybody else.

Our daughter's boyfriend was staying at a resort about 30 minutes away and my daughter did ask if we could pick him up to spend a day with us. We said no. We didn't need both teenage girls not talking to anybody else.

Thinking my plans for happy hour on the rooftop bar at the Ox Cart here in St. Paul might not be such a great plan. Hot out, especially in a heat sink like a downtown.
Happy Retirement Day, Boxster!

We're looking at a place to hang out at prior to the Duran Duran concert on Saturday. How is the Ox Cart? It is supposed to be a little less hot on Saturday.

Also, Mrs. JCyclonee is way too excited at the prospect of seeing John Taylor in person.

I did that once when a friend commented on something they saw on my Pinterest account. Um, what? I don't HAVE a Pinterest account. Neither my first nor my last name are particularly common, but there were a surprising number of people out there with my name and various internet accounts on Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. Not surprisingly, more than half of them were male (my first name is androgynous).
