Although the closed road one is a little wobbly - depends on why the road is closed.

Requiring a foot down for a stop to qualify as a full stop is wobbly as well. I know guys who can track stand through a full cycle of a stoplight. I would want to see where in the code a foot down is required for a stop to be considered a full stop.

I also hope that they are ticketing automobile drivers who slow down and almost stop but don't come to a full, momentum of the car rocks backward stop.

I hate cyclists who don't follow the rules like blowing through red stoplights but I also dislike people who do a rolling stop in their car but then complain when a cyclist doesn't put their foot down. KC, I am not directing this at you.

GTO, Congrats on reestablishing your dominance of your household, by saving them all from the killer bird. You need to keep them watching animal horror movies, that will reinforce how brave you are as you protect them from the wild creatures.

Drivers ed teacher waaaaaay back when said two second count (minimum count to two when the car ceases forward motion). It's pretty much ingrained in me now.

Fun fact - most of the country calls rolling stops "California" stops. In San Francisco, they call them "Hollywood" stops. I found this out when I was ticketed for a rolling stop. Problem was, there was a tall bush on the corner...so after I stopped at the stop line, I let the car creep forward to see if it was safe because the cross traffic doesn't stop. The cop was down the street and didn't see my stop...he just saw me creeping forward.

I must have shin splints or something. Right shin hurts when I walk, and gets worse throughout the day. It hurt Friday, stayed off my feet as much as I could this weekend. Was fine yesterday and now today it was hurting again. Hurts to drive too. Was just a the grocery store and while walking around I got like a bubbling sensation around my shin. This started about a week ago, and I don't recall anything pieces of wood or anything hitting my leg.

I've picked up on husband's calling it a "South Philly Slide". I'm not sure where he picked it up, or what propensity there is for south Philadelphians to perform a rolling stop, but it sounds cool.

Everybody clap your hands! Cha cha real smooth.

So our frame tracer was acting funky this am when we turned on the edger. The arm wouldn't go up and down to calibrate, we were like **** what's wrong with this $5K piece of equipment.

Turns out we just had to take a side panel off and blow out the gears with compressed air. What was clogging them up, you ask? Just a pea sized wad of **** off people's old frames that falls into the machine when tracing.

Wash your damn faces you nasty *** grease balls.
