Reunited.

Impostor! Ear ain't floppy!

I knew she was female for a while, and she's talked about serving in the military, so I always assumed her avatar was her.

Didn't know she was 6'2 though! GTO, I thought at one point you were going to invite her to RTT.
I think I actually did once and she had a couple of posts here and that was it. Told you guys to clean up the place before new people come in, but no one listens to me.

The one today was not so ambiguous. Also, are you really asserting that girls can't play football?

I also chose an intentionally gender-neutral name when I started posting on message boards (14 years ago - YIKES!). Although my gender neutrality has long since vanished here :)

No, definitely not (although it could be an elaborate fake). And no, I'm not asserting they can't (I've known a couple that did), but it's rare.

You guys know me now, and probably can't imagine me as anything else but Granny KC. I remember making a comment on the ESPN boards after I had been posting there for over a year, and one of the posters who was a current ISU student at the time and had "known" me all that time said "Wait - you're a GIRL?????" :)

Carvers would probably agree to this - it's easy to talk "guy" if you live in a household full of them.

Thing is, I remember Klamath making comments about playing football in high school. I think the ambiguity is deliberate. TBH, I usually go gender non-specific in a new on-line venue (particularly one that is sports or politically oriented). It's self-preservation, really - there are a lot of guys out there that don't believe women can hold a valid opinion on many topics, and it's annoying being on the receiving end of all of the condescension.

Cue all the faux-chauvinistic responses (and some NOT so faux...)

It's cheating when you edit out the last line of my comment.

Testing...

Hmmm...I thought the last line would show up if my comment was quoted...
