Can't handle such a high scoring game? In all seriousness, though, a soccer game that ends in a 3-2 score is exactly the same as a football game that ends 21-14. Soccer just doesn't try to mask it by having a score/touchdown count for multiple points.
Only when not in single elimination stage of tournaments. No different than hockey.
you guys sure talk a lot! Have to catch up later. Didn't do much yesterday - got in at about 2pm and neither of us really slept on the way in. DH stayed up and drove since he decided he was more awake than I was on my 70 minutes of sleep. So we got in, I had a headache, we took a 3 hour nap, ate, then were in bed by 11. Sat on the beach today, I'm still terrible at volleyball, though the morning was way better than afternoon. Morning I had like 4 aces and went on a couple serving runs. Not too bad on the sun exposure - trying to be careful. Some of my foot and around my top lines are a bit red but ok. IDK what to do about the top other than put more on. I waited until it was all dry to put on my top so it wouldn't rub off as easily.

I'm not going but I've been to a couple of MN United games in the past. They are a lot of fun. As far as soccer being a bad fit in MN, I don't think so. There are a lot of kids playing youth soccer up here as well as a lot of immigrants who can help make soccer successful.Any of you Minnesotans going to this tonight? I'm kinda curious if there's any excitement about the new franchise up there or not.
I'm kind of ****** about the stadium going to St. Paul. They wanted to building it near Target Field and Target Center and all they asked the City for was a tax break. After all of the bad deals they have made on stadia, the mayor balks at the best deal of the bunch. St Paul had to laugh at the Mayor on that one.
Anybody else have that Reebok ad screw up CF everytime it comes up? I can't scroll it off the page whenever it comes on which is about every three minutes.:realmad:

I checked work email, not the worst but someone wanted something that we've repeatedly said they have to give us 3 weeks to do, said we need this done in 2 weeks........and I'm out pretty much all of it. I laughed and someone else told them I'm gone (so would my OOoffice thing) and they're staying chill about it, it appears.
Vendor is again trying to avoid doing something we keep saying they have to do. I saw it again today and I'm like what part of 3 previous emails where I give them explicit instructions on how to deal with it do they not understand? Whatevs.
No crocodiles here. I actually heard about that from people here. SOmeone behind us at lunch talking about too much sadness in the world and "Orlando" but they kept putting their hand real low to indicate someone of small stature and I was like the hell, that Voice girl and people at the nightclub were all normal height I believe.
Then someone out in the water went up to another couple (I believe the man of the couple may be from FL) and asked if they'd heard the news about Orlando and the child taken by the alligator at Disney. I was like oh, so that's what the people at lunch were talking about. And what a terrible week for the Orlando area.

omg, the other night we were packing and I came out to show DH something, IDK what, but I was topless and in underwear only. Probably wanted him to feel that I had shaved my legs. His computer is in the sunroom opposite side of the house from our bedroom. It's like 8pm and there's a ******* knock on the door! He's like "stay here!" yeah cause I had big plans to run and answer that door, dude.
Some dude with an apparently terrible speech about getting money to lobby on neonicotinoids or something. I learned my lesson on running around naked in the house. Also, we need to get some cover thingies on those door sidelights.
last post while DH puts on some clothes. So at 5am yesterday boarding the plane, there's about a 18 month to 2 year old girl really angry in front of us. Dad is like "you are going to sleep SO good on the plane" I give DH a dubious look.
that kid screamed for a large portion of the flight. I don't mean cried. I mean screamed. I don't know if she was wanting to run around and they wouldn't let her or just that overtired but it was bad. I looked at DH at one point and was like I don't think that kid is "sleeping so good" and neither are we! And while I wanted to muzzle the child, I couldn't hate the parents because the kid wasn't old enough to reason with and what are they going to do. I decided since our family is all relatively close geography wise, there will be no flying with young children for us if we can help it.
Now, the 5-6 year old kid 2 rows behind us who needed to learn "inside voice"? That one I could hate on the parent for since I never heard a "shhh", or "not so loud" while I did hear the other parents trying to calm the screaming child.
