Wasn't Deandre Kane like 24 when he was here?
Age isn't the issue. It is how long he continued to play basketball after leaving HIghschool. He left after his jr. In Connecticut a 16/17 year old. You get 1 year of time where you can continue to play before your clock starts. Hence the issue is they are counting what should be his sr. In australia at a tech school as his prep year and 2 years at abcd and 2 years at juco. So he will get 1 if they decide his time in Australia was more on par with a senior year in HS since he did not graduate. He wil get 2 if they consider the time at abcd was a situation where he was a victim and thus circumstances beyond his control. I think it is reasonable that Rural guess could be what happens. It is also very possible they say he isn't eligable at all which would be pretty callous considering all he has gone through to go to college. DeAndre graduated HS at 19 did a year of prep, redshirted at Pitt and was a 21 year old RS freshman and why he was 25 when he left ISU as a 5th year grad transfer. His 5 year clock started when he was 20. Malou's may have started at 17.
