Sounds about right. I'd rather be ranked in the teens rather than top ten. We tend to play with a chip on our shoulder and we don't have as big of a bullseye on our back for lesser teams to get pumped about.

Being in the top 10 was nice, but these guys play with an edge and a little extra focus when they feel disrespected. We need to string some Ws together to keep pace in the conference race so hopefully this offers some extra motivation.

They seemed plenty focused and played a good game against Oklahoma. I also don't know how a #13 rank should leave them feeling disrespected.

Tech is no gimme. They are greatly improved. Okie st...a gimme this year or two gimmes....but outside maybe tech and TCU at home and the 2 okie st games there are no other gimmes. Iowa on the other hand....

Do you recognize that the path to being ranked in the teens rather than the top ten is to be losing games? I would rather win all our games. Wouldn't you prefer that we had beaten Oklahoma and were ranked in the top ten this week? We won't win the Big 12 season while being ranked in the teens.

Texas Tech is number 4 RPI and for good reason; they have several nice wins. However, their first road game is at Hilton.

I think its def possible to sweep the rest of Jan, and be in top 10 top 5. But it won't be easy. Still trying to move on from the game the other night. Thought we really played great and it would have been HUGE. but anyway, moving on. This should be a great month!

Wow. Possible? Yes. Probable? As much as I'd like to think it, I can't go there. And its more about our several tough opponents there, than it is a lack of faith in our guys.
