*New Uniform Thread*

The I-State logo will be on the helmet. I highly doubt JP would rebrand then not use it.

As for the Trice stripes on the jersey but not on the pants. I'd say for continuity and flow if you put the Trice stripes on the jersey they should be on the pants too.

Please no, there are soooo many better options (especially using some version of a tornado).

In my opinion, you don't have to have the I-State on the helmet for every game because of "branding". It will for as long as JP is the AD be at the middle of the field, in the game day flyers, on the rest stop signs, and every where else. That is enough.

If our jerseys and pants had trice stripes that is enough to distinguish us from anyone else. The helmet logo could change every game.

PS. For any smart *** that would ask, "What about away games?" Fine, put the I-State on the helmet for away games.

- Trice stripes on shoulders and pants
- I-State logo on helmet (always, for branding)
- gold instead of yellow

Those three things would make us look completely different and much better.

Trice stripes would use the small tradition is football has and gold instead of yellow would help with actually matching our school colors.

The Trice stripes look a lot like Adidas stripes, really don't see Nike wanting to use those.

I'd like to see how Trice Stripes would look on the back of the helmets as well!

I completely understand the branding argument for having the I STATE logo on the helmets. There is nothing at all wrong w/ the logo, it is great and we should all love it. However, I don't see the big deal with peeling the sticker off for a couple of games a year and using one of our other 800 glorious logos for a few games each year.

Another thought on the I-State logo. It would look a lot better on a helmet as a stencil. Uniforms shouldn't include 2 shades of cardinal and 2 shades of "gold".

I like the two-tone I-State logo, adds depth and looks 3-d. OK w/ stencil once in awhile as alternate.

The TV doesn't show game day flyers, rest stop signs and not all of the game is played in the middle of the field. Helmets are always shown.

The I State logo is on the Coaches, the field and the graphic on the television. There is no reason you could not have the cyclone logo on the helmet. Do we think that casual viewers of ISU games will be confused as to who they are watching if the helmet does not have I State. I agree with their intention of good branding, but good recruiting is more important, and so is the morale of the team. The players love alternate uniforms. Stanford went out in black for the PAC 12 Championship. I don't think any of their fans or viewers were confused, in fact they probably thought it was a cool thing to do.

as an IOWA fan I can really dig that look!!!!!! the faded pants are sick and the red helmet over the yellow looks WAY better, with the old twister/cyclone symbol to would be perfect. I never liked the switch to the I-state symbol, I always liked the cyclone with CY peeeking out the top the best.

I agree. That all white uniform is sharp

Why even write "as an IOWA fan"? smh

That uniform combo is nice, as are many others put together here. I'm looking forward to finally seeing something new next year.

Nike is a lot better than Adidas for designing uniforms.

My comment was directed toward the idea that Nike wouldn't be ok with the Trice stripe because it's too much like Adidas. To this I say F%#@ Nike. They're our uniforms I could give two s$@&s about their competition that has nothing to do with Iowa State.

“I’ll tell you this: I’m a traditionalist in a multitude of different ways, but I really believe in the uniform piece and the excitement that can bring,” Campbell said. “I think there’s great tradition here in terms of logo and those kind of things, but I think there’s a lot of coolness that we can do to unify our fans, excite our fans and excite our own players. That’s football today. Sometimes, I know some of the staunch traditionalists, they have an issue with that and I get it. But I also get that we’re dealing with a different culture — 18-22-year-old kids. And quite honestly, even in the recruiting process, kids like to see new. Kids like to see exciting and I think that’s something that I’ve always been a huge part of and if you saw us at Toledo, we had a million different things going on, but staying within the tradition and the culture of what the tradition of Toledo football stood for.”

So refreshing. A coach who gets it
