Had an extra pair of tickets for the game tonight, sold one for 15 and gave one to a mom who needed it for her little girl. I guess I don't make a very good scalper, but it made me happy. Hopefully the little girl will grow up to be a Cyclone fan.
What up, b**ches? I haven't been around much lately, since they are cracking down at work on personal internet use (lame!).
I am not allowed to do any alcohol for a while since apparently my CT Scan came back and I have swelling of my liver. Not like I drink much anyway (1 or 2 beers every couple of weeks), but it sucks not to be able to drink for the holidays. I'm also on a special diet now (also bad timing with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up) for a while.
::sigh::
Stay strong. I may regret my decision (although putting me up against a Christmas tree/my kids and Elvis isn't a fair fight).NONONONONONONONONONONONONONO!!!
I WON'T DO IT AND YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!!!
I WON'T LISTEN TO CHRISTMAS MUSIC BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!
Feeling for ya, Goat. I agree with what everyone said on getting older. I may not be the elder states(wo)men that Boxster and KC are but it is sure catching up with me.
Going for the posting trifecta...
Last night a few idiots in masks went and stirred things up further where they have been protesting at the 4th Precinct. Apparently 5 people got shot but at least they say the GSWs aren't life threatening. This is starting to get real stoooopid.
Made the BBC:Eh, some days it's not so bad. And it sure as hell beats the alternative!
Where, what & why? Is this a Minnesota thing?

looks like there was a police protest and some guys in masks showed up and started shooting at the crowd
The attackers fled. No arrests had been made by midnight Monday. Police said via their Twitter feed that they are searching for three white male suspects.
I decided to delete all the serious stuff I posted previously in this post.
Anybody have big plans for Thanksgiving? We're going to the aunt-in-law's Thursday and to Iowa Friday night through Sunday morning.

I think this proves that Nickles is just an alt for another well known poster on here.I hate USPS.
I broke my "no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving" vow overnight. First, we put up the tree last night (Christmas music is perfectly acceptable in this situation). Then, as I was driving in to work this morning, I flipped through the stations and an Elvis Christmas song happened to be on (I'm a sucker for anything Elvis Christmas and most Elvis in general). Next, the John Lennon Christmas song came on and then the Little Drummer Boy came on. I'm "all in" for Christmas music a little early this year.
I agree. And musically I don't think it is anywhere near Lennon's best work. If it wasn't a Christmas theme and trotted out every December because of it, it would be nearly forgotten. Of course you could say that about a lot of the Christmas music that gets rolled out every year. Also, it drives me nuts when Happy Xmas by John Lennon is played as a Christmas song. It's not a Christmas song. It's an anti-war song.
Netflix and chill. Just me and the pup, as I don't want to drive all the way to NE Iowa for one day.
