Since you guys are still talking shots. Columbus demos the prefered technique for Fireballs or most shots.

Had an extra pair of tickets for the game tonight, sold one for 15 and gave one to a mom who needed it for her little girl. I guess I don't make a very good scalper, but it made me happy. Hopefully the little girl will grow up to be a Cyclone fan.

This has not gotten the respect it deserves. Not being a very good scalper is a credit to you, not a detriment.

Nice work, Enn Dubya!

What up, b**ches? I haven't been around much lately, since they are cracking down at work on personal internet use (lame!).

I am not allowed to do any alcohol for a while since apparently my CT Scan came back and I have swelling of my liver. Not like I drink much anyway (1 or 2 beers every couple of weeks), but it sucks not to be able to drink for the holidays. I'm also on a special diet now (also bad timing with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up) for a while.

::sigh::

Feeling for ya, Goat. I agree with what everyone said on getting older. I may not be the elder states(wo)men that Boxster and KC are but it is sure catching up with me.

Going for the posting trifecta...

Last night a few idiots in masks went and stirred things up further where they have been protesting at the 4th Precinct. Apparently 5 people got shot but at least they say the GSWs aren't life threatening. This is starting to get real stoooopid.

Eh, some days it's not so bad. And it sure as hell beats the alternative!

Where, what & why? Is this a Minnesota thing?

Made the BBC:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34912235

looks like there was a police protest and some guys in masks showed up and started shooting at the crowd

**** be getting crazy. Claims going around that the shooters were white dudes. Only 2 miles from my house and a few blocks from my work commute route. Not looking forward to this going all Ferguson but things have been at a low simmer here for years.

The attackers fled. No arrests had been made by midnight Monday. Police said via their Twitter feed that they are searching for three white male suspects.

I decided to delete all the serious stuff I posted previously in this post.

Anybody have big plans for Thanksgiving? We're going to the aunt-in-law's Thursday and to Iowa Friday night through Sunday morning.

When I was in Hawaii, my mailbox got full from all of the junk sent to my apartment, my little bit of mail that I get, and the previous apartment persons mail. I went to pick it up when I had time, they had mailed everything back. I asked them to restart mail service, and now twice I've gotten messages that things were returned. I went online to put a hold on my mail for the packages that were coming, they sent those back anyway.

Saturday morning I had to corner the mail delivery guy to tell him to stop sending back my packages.

I just got an email that something sent to me by my job was returned to them.

Netflix and chill. Just me and the pup, as I don't want to drive all the way to NE Iowa for one day.

Sounds like Little Man stopped puking so Thanksgiving is on again in La Crosse. Have to run over to Byerly's and grab some sage dressing since that's the annual Uncle Boxster contribution to the turkey meal. Oh, and wine, Uncle Boxster always brings wine.

Then down to Iowa next week for a few days. Have tickets to the hoops game Tuesday night.

I broke my "no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving" vow overnight. First, we put up the tree last night (Christmas music is perfectly acceptable in this situation). Then, as I was driving in to work this morning, I flipped through the stations and an Elvis Christmas song happened to be on (I'm a sucker for anything Elvis Christmas and most Elvis in general). Next, the John Lennon Christmas song came on and then the Little Drummer Boy came on. I'm "all in" for Christmas music a little early this year.

Blue Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Also, it drives me nuts when Happy Xmas by John Lennon is played as a Christmas song. It's not a Christmas song. It's an anti-war song.

I agree. And musically I don't think it is anywhere near Lennon's best work. If it wasn't a Christmas theme and trotted out every December because of it, it would be nearly forgotten. Of course you could say that about a lot of the Christmas music that gets rolled out every year.
