Sporting News Top 10 College PGs

Yeah Paige is only where he's at because of the letters on his jersey.

He's a great scorer, but I can think of at least 5 PGs I'd rather have.

He's a SG on a team who doesn't have another option at PG. Strange pick, great player not a top PG though.

They should just put UNC PG #1 instead of his name.

They include the stats with their name but what's the point if they don't use them in their consideration.

Wouldn't have a huge issue with it as there are a ton of really good PGs right now, but did they mean to title it "Top 10 NBA PG prospects"? Because that would have made more sense. I also think Monte gets the short end of the stick because his style of play isn't as attractive to Sportscenter as some of those other guys. I know who I'd want running the show.

He needs to score more to get the attention.
Three guys of these ten scored in the 12's while another was in the 5's. Monte was at 11.9 last year. He also has the top two seasons in NCAA recorded history on A/TO ratio. If he is missed it is a fail on compiling the list but I am okay with that. Consider Monte extra motivated.

Lists like these are why it is still hard for me to believe Monte will leave early after this year. I have yet to see hardly any national traction for him in regards to draft status and many folks still do not even consider him one of the best college point guards let alone an NBA prospect. If he leaves early, I think he will regret it a lot.

side note: Cat Barber obviously #1 for the best name in college right?

That's turrible. How do you even think about making that list without Monte? I actually don't have a huge problem with Paige at #1, (I'd have Dunn) and I don't have a problem with Tremble, VanVleet, Dunn and Paige ahead of Monte. But the rest of those jokers? No way. (Especially Frank ******* Mason)

Criteria for a PG on this list:
-School located on east coast, Check
-School considered a "Blue Blood", Check
-Players name is regularly tossed around every game broadcast, Check

Well folks, look like we have our list... Click bait fellas, Click bait...

From an outsiders point of view, I think Morris kinda gets treated like a system QB in college football. I think a lot of people tend to attribute a lot of Morris' success to the system he was in. Whether that is fair and accurate or not is to debate, it just seems like that is what is happening. From what I have seen, I absolutely think Morris is one of the ten best PGs in the sport right now. I wouldn't even have Paige and Demetrious Jackson on that list because I don't think either really even plays PG. Monte should probably be top 5 behind Dunn, VanVleet, Ferrell and maybe Trimble.
