I just can't bring myself to get excited for it. Maybe its having owned a focus, maybe its my love of Subaru and Mitsubishi, but to me it just doesn't come with the same mystique that the Evo and STI have.

See, the lack of 'mystique' would be what would draw me to the Focus. Evo/STI to me just smack of Ed Hardy shirts and spray tan bros that actually think the Fast and Furious series are documentaries. I'm sure they're great cars, but the market that defines them just makes me want to stay away from them. Same thing with a Corvette...sure they're great cars, but I don't really want to hang with the 50-ish balding middle managers with a paunch that own the rest of them...and I think Boxster's said similar things about 911's...there's a baggage that comes with them.

My neighborhood is nice but odd sometimes. Got update on what the hell is going on with house four doors away. On another street and have never seen the old gal who lived there. Guess it's been unoccupied for a few years and was condemned. Apparently it is a hoarder house, can't tell from outside. Probably going to get demo'd this week. Same developers that are offering the $1M house another five doors down. I am betting this will be an upgrade. While getting this update from a neighbor I had to listen to her rant about the developers and their McMansions as she called them. Really? Custom built high-end house versus vacant and condemned hoarder home? WTF?

I make a more "traditional" cheesecake that usually sits in the fridge overnight, so you can make a day or two ahead. If you are thinking NYE, usually our garage is one big 900sq freezer.

Our garage is attached; pop goes along the wall next to the house, frozen stuff along the opposite wall. :)

Evo and STI guys aren't really like that. The buy in price scares away a lot of the F&F crowd. But its a fair argument and exactly why I have no desire to ever own another Eclipse. The Civic guys are the total Ed Hardy F&F bros. Those guys think VTEC and the B12 swap are gods gift to cars despite the fact that every owner has the same setup and *SPOILER ALERT* 99% of them are all slow.

Wow, that turned into more of a rant than I was going for.

You and 00 are starting to sound like Cowgirl whereas no one knows what the **** you're talking about.

We have a big - ish upright freezer in the garage, but only a small dorm fridge for extra fridge space. 90% of the time it isn't an issue, but when we have company we run out of fridge space quickly. I often host Thanksgiving which is usually cool enough to use the garage as my extra fridge. ;) We had family in town in August and I had to use a large cooler as my extra space--not quite as nice.

I'm gonna go ahead and invite myself over for Thanksgiving. That cool?

Freezer & fridge in our garage also...but during the holiday season, they're pretty full. Same issue as you for Thanksgiving...anywhere from 10 to 25. Too much pop & beer & froufrou mangotangocrap to all fit in the outside fridge, so the bottles & the lemonades go in the fridge as they would be the first to burst if they got TOO cold. Everything else just stays in the cartons.

Not true...nick and I are talking to each other and knowing what we mean, it's just everyone else...CG talks mainly to herself and completely everyone has no idea what you're saying. One person knows what you're saying, it's a little geek-y...no one knows what you're saying...that's just weird.

People are awful testy today. Can't believe a couple posters took my comment seriously.
I didn't think anything of it. I was too busy making myself chuckle at the thought of a manbearpig QB named Cameis Wilsernick. If theres one thing we all know about you, GTO, its how racist you are! :jimlad:

You may have been joking, but I think there's truth in what you said. Not that it was meant in an overtly racist way, but Boykin and Vick couldn't be much more different in play style. There's only one or two reasons you would compare them, and your point is probably one of them.

If you want geeky, my sibling and SIL sent me a copy of this scarf:

Thankfully, not the 12' version. The smaller size still reaches my knees before twisting around my neck.

You know it! I hate all races including the Indy 500, Daytona 500, Dakar Rally, LeMans, etc.

It was a semi-jimlad comment.
