How do our facilities compare to others?

Seriously.. who gives a ***** about what Iowa did. Yes they did some good things with different opponents than ours over the past years. The only thing that ISU can control in that regard is beating them in the non conference game every year. Success on the field with a BigXII or a B1G schedule doesn't matter. Just have to win. The postseason does not care about SOS (unless you are a playoff team) as long as you get the magical #6 win. Iowa as much as I hate to admit it has done that more often than ISU given what they have. The sad thing is that other teams get "bowl eligibility" playing in the Sunbelt, American and MAC. Iowa to a lesser extent. Nothing we can do about that.. so lets move on and quit comparing apples to oranges to pears or what ever and win some BigXII games. Even though these last years have sucked... a few more wins were really not that far off as we all know as a few plays gone the other way would have been the difference. So lets pack the Jack and let our team know we still support them.

From his posts, it does not appear that way. He is pretty derogatory towards the Hawks.
Now you, on the other hand........and a host of others is a different matter. Constantly defending the Hawkeyes and berating the Cyclones..........smells of Hawkeye.

Also, am I berating the Cyclones or actually holding them to normal-yet-realistic expectations? I'll go with the latter. This "expose the Hawkeye" and "we've never seen success at ISU, so never expect any" crap I've seen on CF the last few months shows how much work Iowa State has to go in actually taking "the next big step," which was the slogan when Pollard took over.

Most of the time you agree with Hawk posters. And spend your time attacking Cyclone fans.
I have said my predictions for the coming year are for 5 wins......possibly 6 wins. And have been labeled by some as a Kool-Aid drinker.
Realistically, we need to get to the threshold of 5 to 7 wins every year. And then get that year of attaining 8 wins before we can realistically set a benchmark of 7-8 wins for our coming season. To simply demand that we are someone going to simply demand that we take "the next big step" is not being realistic.
I am not satisfied where we are at. I want more. But I also understand from where we have come to where we are today. We are JUST NOW getting some of the things necessary to compete. And our competitors that we are finally starting to catch up to are doing even more to keep the gap that they have always enjoyed.
Watch the clips of the games from the '90's and see how things looked back then and the numbers we were drawing. Our momentum is going forward. We have had a couple bumps the last couple seasons. The results of this coming season will dictate the direction that we will be going in the future.
God I hope for ISU's sake he's none of the above. I would guess he does the players laundry and Rhoads slips him a fat tip every once in awhile in order to make sure he continues sticking up for him on CyFan.
Please identify the two bcs games iowa went to. The only bcs game iowa played in was a beat down in the orange bowl vs usc. That was the same year isu beat them in iowa city.
I went back and checked and please tell me you don't think the capital one bowl against LSU was a bcs bowl. LOL

If Little Brother Iowa can make two BCS Bowls since 2000... why do I get so ridiculed for expecting Big Brother Iowa State to simply make a bowl game?
I am expecting 5 to 7 wins for this coming year. We get to 6 wins we make a bowl game. And I have been accused of drinking too much Kool-Aid. Simply making a bowl game is a reasonable goal.
Do your sources also "expect" Iowa State to make it to a bowl game?
Let's get a list of possible excuses out of the way now so when we win 3 games you have nothing left to say other than you were dead wrong.
Too many injuries?
Not even donations?
Team lacks experience?
Coach Rhoads got fired?
SEZ added a dimension to the kicking game Stormin hadn't already accounted for?
Too many early games?
Too many late games?
Too many tv games?
Defensive line not getting enough pressure?
Team meal at Es Tas resulted in extreme flatulence?
Mangino choked on a chicken bone?
Very rare glare into the coaches pressbox leads to a game without coordinators?
