Yeah, reminded me of tee-ball practice last night when the coach was all "ohh, that's a good swing" after the 30th pitch to this little kid that clearly was not very coordinated...and then the kid finally connected on one, and it bounced a foot ahead and kinda piddled off to the first base foul line and went out prolly 5 feet in front of the plate, but the coach was all "Yeah, nice hit, run the bases!"
The 240Z guys said the same thing about my 280Z although I do remember picking it up in St. Paul and letting Crazy White Woman 1 drive it home. Got home and she said "Wow, that had more power than I thought it would!". Back when all of the Crazy White Women* could still drive stick.
* Crazy White Women is derived from the awesome movie Jeremiah Johnson and is considered a term of great endearment in some circles (well, just by me actually).

dude, that's like all we did in Jamaica. Though we went into the ocean afterward. Just strip down enough and you don't even notice once you're having fun.
did I miss something about Chinese food? I've seen references to it and then the taco thread but I haven't waded far enough into the bball swamp to figure it out.
I just bought four light bulbs for $.99 I only needed two and I wanted whatever was cheapest but I was not expecting that. Maybe I'll wait to put them in until we move out. They might be anthrax or something.

PapaLew rarely drove Baby...seemed like every time he did, he got a ticket. She was a thing of beauty though, at least to my eyes...
Driving a stick is definitely a lost art...

Trudat...I learned to drive on a 4 speed OD F150...so bascially a 3 speed with 4th being OD...very steep gears..it was a short box as well...more of a toy/fun truck than a hardcore work truck. If you could drive that thing, you could drive anything. I stalled that friggin' thing more times than I'd like to admit, but I can still drive a stick..anywhere. Honestly, it's getting very hard to find a vehicle with a 3rd pedal anymore, but I think there's still a place for learning to drive one.
Hah...no, actually little 00 is actually pretty good at making contact....which means he didn't inherit his athletic ability from me. Although, we have spent quite a bit of time practicing his hitting, he'd do it for a good half hour last summer if I'd pitch for him, and then play catch for another half hour, so he's decent at catching too. There are kids better than him, and kids waay worse than him. Seriously, last week we were playing a team and one of these friggin 5 year old kids was switch hitting...I mean, he wasn't that great with either, but he did have a good, sound swing both left and right handed.
Honestly, though, to be fair to the kid, the coach was pitching overhanded lobs to these 4-6 year old kids, so that didn't help...I wanted to stop him and say...OK, they don't need to know how to hit a breaking ball yet...why don't we try underhanded so it's on a normal trajectory for them.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but why were they pitching in t-ball? I thought in t-ball the ball was on a tee, and the kids swung at that?
